Knowing your heart

“Umma there’s someone at the door!” HyeRi shouted from the living room. NahRi got dressed and ran to the door. Her face went numb when she saw someone who she wouldn’t want to see, Ara. 

“Huh? Unnie!’ HyeRi said from behind me as her head was peaking out. NahRi pushed her head back in, and told her to stay put. 

“I’ve heard that you’re in ChangMin’s department? He has never hired a female employee. You’re the first.” 

NahRi looked up, and took a sip of her blackberry hot tea. 

“If you’re unhappy about this thing with me working in your fiancee’s department, you should talk to him not me. If you’re here to cause trouble, think twice before doing it.” She told Ara straight up. 

“What about his daughter, HyeRi?” She spoke.

“I don’t know what you want, please stay out of our lives. Leave my daughter out of this. Excuse me, I have to get going.” NahRi bowed and went out the glass door and got into a cab. 

Ara sat alone at a quiet bar, and began to drink. In her hands were photos of his fiancee and NahRi together on his yacht. Just the thought of it, in her heart for the first time she felt hatred towards NahRi.

As NahRi was walking home, she took out her phone and answered it. 

“NahRi speaking.” 

“It’s me, ChangMin.” Her foot stopped and looked forward seeing him in front of her. Placing his phone in his pocket, he slipped his hands in his tiny pockets and smiled cutely. 

“What brings you here? It’s eight at night, I think you should leave.” NahRi said walking pass her boss. “Wait here, I’ll get your suit jacket.” 

Instead of waiting outside, he followed her into the apartment. 

“Yah! I told you to wait outside!” She scolded him loudly. 

“Its freezing out there! You want me to freeze to death out there!” ChangMin pushed her to side, and got in. 

“Yah! You just can’t barged into someone’s house without their permission!” NahRi stood by the with her finger pointing out the door. 

“Leave before I call the police.” ChangMin went over to the kitchen table and sat on the edge of the table disobeying NahRi’s words. Decided to give up, she shut the door and locked it. 

Making her way to his direction, he only stared at her. “Don’t make me drag you out of here! For the second time, please leave!” ChangMin looked away.

“If you’d feed me. I promise I’ll leave once you give me dinner.” He smirked, and grabbed her waist bringing her body close to his. “Perhaps a kiss will do the job?” 

“ChangMin-shi!” She slightly shouted with her small palms pressing against his harden chest. She could feel the vibe in between them. His eyes couldn’t stare away...NahRi groaned as she tried to shove him away.

“Do you miss me that much?” He asked out of the blue. Filling her inside about to explode, she couldn’t hold in her tears. Using his thumbs to wipe her salty tears. The both of them gently closed their eyes as he pulled her in closer to his body. 

Without knowing, their dried lips had already touched each other. ChangMin pulled away but their foreheads touching. Trying to catch their breaths NahRi removed his arms and looked in his eyes. 

Her mouth shivered as he watched her. 

“I...I---” He knew what she was feeling inside. He felt the same way. ChangMin couldn’t hold in his feelings, and pulled her into his arms. There were no words that needed to be expressed. Greatly, they knew what they were feeling deeply inside their hearts. 

Holding each other was all they both needed...
