Huang Zi Tao or simply Tao is a popular exchange student from China at XOXO High School in South Korea. He begins a relationship with one of the kingkas of the school, Oh Sehun, sparking a rivalry with Sehun's best friend Lu Han. After six months in his relationship between Sehun and him his ex-boyfriend Wu Yi Fan or simply Kris moves to South Korea as well. It becomes harder for Tao since former feelings for Kris begin to emerge again yet he continues having feelings for Sehun.

Wu Yi Fan/ Kris has been depressed ever since Tao moved to South Korea due to his father's company expansion. Six months after their break up Kris makes the decision to also move to South Korea in hopes to find Tao. He then begins attending XOXO High School and the first thing he sees when he enters the school is Tao and Sehun holding hands as they walk down the halls- great welcoming right? Heartbroken, Kris ends up meeting Luhan, a guy who is madly in love with Sehun. The two become instant friends after a not so normal first meeting and begin to form a plan to help each other win back the ones that have stolen their hearts. Things get difficult when he starts having feelings for his best friend and his suspicions of Tao having feelings for Kris are stronger than ever.
