Description
Amber Josephine Liu is not comfortable with moving to an apartment thousands of miles away. No, scratch that. She is not comfortable with the idea of moving at all, especially if it means transferring to another continent and being virtually alone, well, almost, since her older sister Jackie is already residing there for a good year and a half.
But being the obedient daughter that she is, she gave in to her parent’s wishes, leaving California for a completely new life in Seoul.
It wasn’t easy. Saying goodbyes to her close friends and relatives wasn’t a piece of cake. Leaving all the comforts of home to face the recesses of an unknown wasn’t a walk in the park.
The work opportunity was great, the only positive aspect out of it all. She was expected to fill a bookkeeping position in one of the most prestigious private firms in South Korea. She couldn’t just say no, right? And besides, Jackie, a nurse in a public hospital in a Seoul district, would be there with and for her, wouldn’t she? At least that’s what her mom and dad kept on telling her.
The plane has landed; her things had already arrived ahead of her. She only needs to take this new journey, a new chapter of her life, one step at a time.
She’s going to spend this month learning and adjusting to a new home, meeting new friends, and maybe, as time goes, even find the one she can spend the rest of her life with.

She had an older sister, Jessica, but the latter ran away from home a year before their parents’ deaths, and hasn’t been heard of ever since.
Her past was one of loss, but she strived to gain back a grip on life through keeping the apartment afloat. She made close friends with her lady boarders, but has never entertained a man into her life.
She’s now 23 and still single. Ready to mingle? No. Krystal’s hell-bent on keeping her status that way.
But what if love comes knocking on her apartment’s door?
