Victoria Louise Drake had known for a while that her parents were hiding things from her; she just didn't care. Eventually they would tell her, she said. All in time, when they thought she was ready. Though as time drug on, being ‘ready’ was becoming less and less of an option.
Hello! We are finally caught up, chapter wise to were this story previously was! Just a friendly reminder, Chapter six, seven, and eight have been changed! I did not like where that had left me in relation to the story. Half asleep writing can be risky...
Either way, I am happy to inform you all that I will be spending quite a bit of time on this story within the next few weeks, as you can see we've made it back up to twelve chapters! I hope you all enjoy the direction I've taken it.

Foreword
The day started out as any average day would. Victoria got up, got dressed, and went to school. The school was the everyday average private school: strict teachers, miniskirts, and all. Her classes had the same students. The teachers were cleaning for the end of the year. The only difference about today was her walk home. Her normal route was under construction, so she took the short cut through the woods her friend had shown her. But… her friend wasn’t here. At first, everything was fine. That was until she heard the snap of a stick behind her and the breathing of the beast.
