Chapter 8

DRAWING

Sulli can’t believe what she heard…is Krystal in love with Minho? She stopped walking and hid herself behind a tree.

“I know…But I…I’m sorry Oppa…I just can’t stop getting hurt by it.” Said Krystal

Minho touched Krystal’s hand

“Is there a way we can fight for it? Is there a way we can be happy together?” asked Krystal

“You need to rest Krystal. You just came back.” Said Minho

Minho walked away leaving Krystal crying.

Sulli slowly walked toward the table and put the tea there. Krystal looked up when she felt Sulli’s presence.

“I’m sorry…I just wanted to give you tea…but if you don’t want it I can take it back.” Said Sulli

Krytal stood up and hugged Sulli. She cried her heart out on Sulli’s shoulder.

Sulli felt the pain of the woman. And though Sulli felt thorns in her own heart, she knows it’s no match against the pain within this woman’s heart.

“I’m sorry…” Krystal pulled away “I just couldn’t control it anymore.”

Krystal walked away.

Sulli still doesn’t know what to think. Krystal is in love with Minho…But is Minho in love with her?

That afternoon, Kevin was drawing intently on the paper.

“What are you doing Kevin?” asked Sulli

“Drawing.” Said Kevin

“Oh…what are you drawing?” asked Sulli

“Ajussi…I’m drawing Daddy Ajussi.” Said Kevin

What?! Daddy?

Minho walked in the house. It looks like he came from jogging outside.

Kevin immediately ran towards Minho and gave him the paper.

“Ajussi…this is for you…I drew you.” Said Kevin

Minho felt that small irritation again. The paper only has scribbles on it.

“I’m tired. Pull this kid away.” Said Minho

That made Sulli’s heart rose in anger.

“The child tried his best to give you a present. He’s been drawing really hard. Can’t you please show a little appreciation?” asked Sulli

Minho took a deep breath.

Minho looked at Kevin. Really looked at him.

“Ajussi…you don’t like my drawing?” asked Kevin

Minho saw the tears almost falling Kevin’s eyes. His irritation slowly fading. Minho looked up to Sulli. And he can feel Sulli’s hopeful gaze at him.

“You don’t have to pretend like you like it. I can explain it to him later.” Said Sulli

“I like it.” Said Minho “I like your drawing…Kevin.” Said Minho. Minho felt like the words just naturally flowed out his lips.

Sulli felt a lump on . She had to look away to hide her tears. But Minho saw it.

Minho brushed Kevin’s head. “Thank you.”

Kevin hugged Minho’s leg.

“I’ll draw more of Daddy Ajussi.” Said Kevin

Sulli tried to pull Kevin from Minho’s leg.

“No…that’s fine…Let him.” Said Minho

Sulli can’t take it anymore. She has to hide somewhere. The tears are just too much. Sulli walked away.

Minho knelt beside Kevin.

“It seems like your Mommy is jealous…” said Minho “Next time draw Mommy too, ok?”

“Yes, Daddy Ajussi. I’ll draw Mommy too.” Said Kevin.

Sohyun saw everything that happened earlier and she’s not happy about it.

“Are you really trying to be that kid’s Dad?” asked Sohyun “Oppa…you’re becoming soft. They…they don’t deserve that.”

Minho doesn’t understand it either. He hates the kid…He hates the kid so much…but earlier…He seems to have forgot about hating him… for a moment there….Kevin seemed to be an ordinary child looking for attention.

“The kid…is just a child…though at the beginning, I also hated the child…but I just want to follow what I said before…I want to keep my word...because it seems like someone is relying on it.”  Said Minho…the words seem weird on his lips…but that’s how he feels now…

“You’ve changed, Oppa…Those 2 are changing you! And I hate them more!” said Sohyun “Sooner or later, you’re going to take care of them…and then you’ll treat them like family…you’ll love them..Just like how Dad loved that woman…”

“Don’t let Mom see you like that…It’ll break her.” Said Sohyun

The next day, Sulli picked up Kevin and learned that there will be a parent’s day. He will surely be left out without a Dad.

Sulli arrived at the house. Kevin saw Minho and immediately went running to Minho.

“Ajussi, we have parent’s day tomorrow. Are you going to come?” asked Kevin

Sulli’s eyes widen.

“Umm..Kevin…I will come.” Said Sulli
