Extra Chapter

It had been published in newspapers and announced in Television that TC Entertainment’s new CEO will get married within the month. The actual date was not announced to the public for security reasons since most of TC’s artists would attend the event. Who would have the guts to not attend the CEO’s wedding when an invitation tells them that their presence is mandatory, right?

“Flight DL8976 has now arrived.”

It had been half a year since Yong Joon left Korea and this is the first time he is coming back. He only has his Sister and Son…how can he miss her wedding? But Yong Joon did not go straight to the hotel. Instead he went to the prison to visit an important person.

“You showed up.” Said Jessica

“Yeah…I just came back…I went here as soon as I landed.” Said Yong Joon

“Why can’t I believe you.” Said Jess

Yong Joon felt that familiar pang of regret and pain. Jessica had always been on his side. She loved him so much to the point of obsession. She did crimes that are unforgivable, but she did them for him.

“I…asked the guards to give you some things I bought for you. You used to love Belgian chocolates so I made sure I brought some.” Said Yong Joon

Jess’ brows shoot up

“The one with mint?” asked Jess

“Yeah..and I also bought the one with strawberries.” Said Yong Joon

Jess looked at the ceiling.

“Why are you doing this?” asked Jess “Is conscience hunting you? Do you thik you need to make it up to me because of what happened?”

“Hmm…probably.” Said Yong Joon

Jessica looked at the familiar face of the man she loved. Somehow she doesn’t feel the same anymore…her heart…does not beat the same way anymore at the sight of him.

“The way I loved you wasn’t healthy for me…I should have stopped when I still had the chance to. But it was uncontrollable.” Said Jess “I heard you were offed a teaching Job here for Sun Life University...for Finance?”.

“Yeah…I will be meeting with the school chairman this week to finalize everything. I would probably accept it if they can meet my demands.” Said Yong Joon "Sun Life is a very interesting school...I heard there are superb students there."

“Yeah...But it will be challenging. You will be an asset there being a Harvard professor.” Said Jess

“I’m glad you’re ok Jess.” said Yong Joon

Jess nodded and smiled 

“Oppa…please don’t visit me too much. I like knowing that you care…but I’d hate it if I end up feeling the same way for you again. I like myself better now…I mean…I like it that when I see you like this, I feel like you’re just an old friend I haven’t seen for a long time.” Said Jess

Yogn Joon took a deep breath. Jess is right… He owes it to her to let her go.

“I’ll remember that.” said Yong Joon

The duet song by GD and Krystal became a big hit. They would always perform it live and would even get awards for that. After one of the presentations, Krystal’s car broke down and she had to oblige when GD offered to bring her home.

Krystal is massaging her arm…somewhere along the dance earlier, she hit her arm on the floor.

“You ok?” asked GD

“Yeah…” said Krytsal trying to hide the pain

GD grabbed Krystal’s arm and Kystal closed her eyes in pain. GD rolled Krystal’s sleeves up and saw a faint bruise…it will surely get darker tomorrow.

“Why didn’t you tell me you were hurt?” asked GD

“I don’t think it’s a big deal.” Said Krystal

“What? For idols like us, our body is our greatest asset. Anything that goes wrong with our body eithers affect our voice or our dance…our performance.” Said GD

“I understand, Sunbae.” Said Krystal

“I am not kidding here.” said GD. GD tried to massage Krystal’s arm which surprised Krystal.

“We’re partners while we are still promoting our duet. So don’t hide these kinds of things from me.” Said GD

Something in Krystal doesn’t feel right. Heat crawling up her cheeks at the way GD is massaging her arm. And somehow…a tingling warmth with the racing of her heart is making her chest uncomfortable.

“Are you going to attend the wedding?” asked Krystal

GD looked up at her.

“Are you?” asked GD

“I’m not sure…but if you’ll go…I’ll go.” Said Krystal

“Then let’s go together.” Said GD “The CEO required us, right? So we better make sure we’re there.”

Krystal smiled at that. Somehow…GD going to the wedding with her…made her feel a bit more comfortable.
