Chapter 24

FIRED

Krystal is depressed…devastated…

Jess entered Krystal’s room.

“Please don’t tell me you are not going to eat today too?” asked Jess

“Please leave me alone.” Said Krystal

“Stop being stubborn. Mom’s already worried.” Said Jess

“When he chose you over me…I tied to accept it…because you were my sister…and because I know I’m no match against you.” Said Krystal “But when he chose that woman over me…I felt so pathetic…so stupid…because even if he showed the whole world how much he doesn’t love me….I still love him so much” said Krystal crying

Jess looked away…Krystal and her are too different in so many ways…But things like this that happens to Krystal worries her too. And this is the worst she has seen Krystal.

“Look…If it makes you feel better. I won’t let them have peace, ok? I’ll find a way to make sure they won’t be happy.” Said Jess

“What are you planning Unnie?” asked Krystal

Jess just smiled “Someone important just arrived in Korea earlier. Someone who will make the happy family Minho has created to shake.” Said Jess

Minho went to Krystal’s house but he was not allowed to go in. He tried to wait for several hours but still, the door did not open for him.

Sulli went to her house and looked for the things she found in Ji Woo’s house. She looked inside the notebooks and the envelopes and found more pictures of the 3.

Henry seemed to be close to her Unnie. But who is this other man? And why didn’t Henry say he was Ji Woo’s friend?

Sulli opened one notebook

Diary dated more than 6 years ago …would she find the answers here?

The whole afternoon, Sulli just kept on reading the diary. She stayed in front of her house to make sure she sees Henry once he comes.

But Henry did not come.

Sulli went back to Minho’s house late and Minho was agitated. But when Sulli told him her reason, Minho was shocked.

“Hmm..that’s kind of mysterious.” said Minho

“I wanted to talk to him and ask. Probably the reason why he always shows up in our house is because he was close with Unnie. But he was very secretive to not tell me.” Said Sulli

“I’m beginning to think that he’s not a bad guy.” Said Sulli

Minho thought the same thing. Since that night when he had that brief encounter with Henry, Minho already knew that Henry cares for Sulli for some unknown reason. This might be it. He was Ji Woo’s friend.

Minho went back to a chaotic TC. Stock price went down due to the scandal in the night of the anniversary party. GD’s album sales also went down. The investment put into that album was big. He needs to clean things up.

Minho started by calling a  meeting with his top executives and devising a strategy to issue a statement about GD. They need to show that though GD has been in love with someone else, CL was very close to him. CL has to calm everyone down by issuing a statement agreeing with GD. That will somehow uplift GD’s image right now.

Ralph entered the room.

“Sir…we have a problem. Some of the stockholders want to have a meeting.” Said Ralph. “Most of them are already on their way here.”

That’s weird. No matter how big a scandal is, the stockholder trust Minho’s family to solve everything. Why are they reacting now?

“Prepare a room.” Said Minho

Almost all stockholders are present. But what bothers Minho is that new face he’s seeing. That man…who is he…

Ralph whispered to Minho

“That man is one of the biggest stockholders. The past months, he’s been buying a lot of stocks from different people. He now holds the 2nd to the largest stocks. And he just came back from the US.” Said Ralph

That did not feel good. Why would he buy a lot of stocks from TC? And why did he only show up now? What is his intention?

Minho saw Jess enter the room and sat beside the man.

The meeting started.

The man was just silent while the executives give the next steps to make sure everything is under control. When the executive was done, the man stood up and talked.

“Hi…Most of you may only see me today for the first time. So let me introduce myself to you.  I’m Bae Yong Joon. I hold 24% of shares of TC. Just 2% lower than Miss Emma Choi’s shares. But the recent events that has come to my attention worries me as a stockholder. I’ve devoted a lot of money and trust in this company and I hate to say this…but on Miss Emma’s recent actions, I felt that my interest as a stockholder was not protected.” Said the man

“As the CEO, she should not have put the company in a scandalous position like she did. She acted on her personal interest alone putting risk to all our investments. I am proposing to evict Emma Choi as the CEO of the company.” Said Yong Joon.

“I agree.” Said Jess “As the representative of the Jung family. I also believe the same thing.  I support that Emma Choi be evicted. Her action did not only put shame on the company but also a stockholder’s family. The damage done on my sister is terrible.”

Huh? Jess is with him in this?

“I don’t think we should go ahead with that decision without a proper process and deliberation.” Said Minho

“What process do you still need? Everything was televised and everyone saw it. Each person here can already make a vote base on what they saw there.” Said Yong Joon.

“We have solid next steps to counter and everything is under control.” said Minho

“Ahhh right. But Mrs. Choi is not the driver of the next steps. What is she doing now as the CEO? “ said Yong Joon

“Everybody knows I handle external affairs. So this is my responsibility.” Said Minho

“Well the CEO is the main image of the company. If she’s not fit to rule, we need to let her go.” Said Yong Joon.

“I also think the same way, Minho.” Said Jess “If we let her continue to lead TC Entertainment, we might end up in a great loss by the year end…we don’t know how many more scandals she’s going to make.” said Jess

This is already getting into Minho’s nerves.

“I propose we make a vote.” Said Yong Joon.

In just a matter of minutes…Emma Choi…had been fired as CEO of TC Entertainment. Everything happened so fast…even Minho did not expect that to happen…These stockholders had been loyal to the family…But in just 10 minutes…it just took 10 minutes
