Sea Souls: Mermaid's TearsTaura ran down the hallway of the palace towards one of the exits in the back. She ripped off the necklace and took off her earrings. Lifting up her dress she ran faster once she saw the door she was looking for ignoring the sound her name being called from behind. It was Sehun who was calling her but she didn’t care at the moment. Taura knew she should have been flattered. Taura felt that she should be happy right? The prince she fell in love with at first sight was offering to marry her. She should have been happy, but she wasn’t. Taura felt like nothing but a bargain…a deal of sorts and she refused to be treated like that.
“Taura! Stop!” Sehun yelled. Taura looked over her shoulder and shook her head as she bolted out of the door.
The cool ocean breeze greeted her upon running out of the palace. She gasped and breathed in the salty air. Taura undid her hair, letting it flow behind her. Before her was nothing but the wide ocean view from the cliff. The surface of it sparkled as the sun’s rays hit it, highlighting the little ripples. From where she stood she could hear the waves crashing the shores and retreat back and come back again. It calmed her.
Taura took off her T strap heels seeing that there was a dirt path leading down the hill towards the beach. She walked along it, feeling the rubble underneath her. It hurt, but the pain wouldn’t last long once she hit the water. Everything painful, she hoped, would leave her once she went back into the water.
