The mission was pretty simple and it wasn’t like Tao found it hard to break into places like this.

Oh, a big security system and guards and cameras, big deal for someone with the ability to stop time.

Laughing at his own joke Tao casually meandered up the stairs of the building to the office he was looking for. Doctor Park Insung.

Stepping into the office Tao looked at the frozen man in front of him, it looked like the doctor was about to have a drink so taking advantage of the opportunity Tao took the take-away coffee cup from his hands and opened his bag, dropping two small white capsules into the liquid Tao watched the antidote fizz and dissolve and carefully placed the cup back in the man’s hand. Suho had told him that this Doctor would be important to them but he’d fallen ill, if it weren’t for the pills they’d brought with them from EXO Planet this man would die. Tao didn’t mind not knowing everything about the mission but he was a little annoyed that the boy didn’t trust him a little more.

Tao made sure to check he hadn’t left anything behind before stepping out of the office and closing the door behind him, he was about to retrace his steps out of the building but froze at hearing footsteps echoing through the hall. He was sure none of the other members had followed him here, it was his mission, why would they. Quickly ducking being a nearby copying machine Tao waited as the footsteps got louder, looking around the corner he saw a man walking down the hall towards him, he didn’t recognise the guy and didn’t understand how he was still walking around when he’d frozen time. Only other people with abilities were immune to his power but if there was someone else out there surely Suho would have known about it being the leader.

“Hello? Who’s there?” Tao tensed up at the stranger’s voice not really sure what to do, his exit was blocked but he couldn’t let this guy see him, “just come out, I know you’re there” Stuck for ideas Tao pulled his hood over his head, hoping it would shadow his face if only a little, and stood up so he was facing the stranger. Making his voice as deep as possible he cocked his head to the side, “who are you?” The guy opposite him rose his brows at the question and looked Tao up and down

“Shouldn’t I be asking you that? What are you doing here and why is everybody frozen?” Tao, assuming that the only reason this guy wasn’t frozen was because he had an ability also, made a split decision and quickly ran towards the stranger and jumped up, wushu instincts pushing him to just the right level to kick the side of the guys head, knocking him out instantly. The teen felt kinda bad for the now unconscious guy but assured himself that this way he could bring the guy back to the hideout without showing him where it was and find out why the rest of the guys didn’t know there was someone else out there with abilities.

Happy his eleven years of wushu training had built up his stamina Tao slung the guy over his shoulder and started making his way out of the building and back to the hideout, unfreezing everything once he was back on the streets.

Tao knew he would be in a lot of trouble for bringing a stranger to the hideout but he didn’t know what else to do and he wanted answers.

A/N - my plan is to focus on the development of Tao and Kris's relationship but there will also be a running plot and realtionships between the other characters~
