You arrived at school and whizzed in through the gates. You quickly locked your bike up and ran inside.

The students were buzzing with gossip and laughter. They saw you and quickly pointed your way to talk trash about you.

“How could she do her hair like that? Hasn’t she ever been to the stylist before?”

“Look at her bushy eyebrows! Weeds could grow out of it!”

“Those shoes are way last year.”

You had no time to be offended. You still had to go to your locker. You squeezed in through the crowd, “Sorry.”

“Aish.” They backed away from you as if you smelled like crap.

Your locker was tagged with all sorts of rude comments: NERD, GEEK, LOSER, FUGLY, LONER. You twirled your locker combo and opened it. You screamed as a rubber snake fell out.

Everyone uproariously burst into laughter. *How did they find out my locker combo again?!*

Humiliated, you bit your lip. You quickly grabbed the book you needed, slammed the locker door shut, and ran to your class. You sat in the middle row by the window. No one wanted to sit by you so the desk next to yours was always empty. You opened your book to review the math problems. A paper ball was tossed at your head. Snickers echoed throughout the class. You picked up the paper and unfolded it. LONER FOR LIFE.

You bit your lip *Calm down. Don’t cry. This happens every day. Just get over it.* You threw the trash away and sat back down only to be poked by a sharp tack. “Ow!” You rubbed your butt.

“Hahaha! STOOPID!” Your classmates cracked up.

You frowned and tossed the pin away. You sat back down, wondering what prank they would pull on you next.

Just then,3 of the kingkas of the school entered: L. Joe, Chunji, and Niel. Changjo and Ricky were sophomores while CAP was a senior. Girls quickly started brushing their hair and fixing their lip gloss.

“Good morning, L. Joe, Chunji, and Niel!” They smirked and winked, sending the girls into excited squeals, “They’re so hot!”

You quickly pushed up your glasses. Butterflies fluttered in your stomach at the sight of them. But the one you really had a crush on was L. Joe. He was so good-looking and his smirk made your heart flutter. With a flip of his blonde hair, he had you melting. *Will he notice me today?* You peeked up and met eyes with him as he passed by. *EEEK!* You quickly buried your face in the book.

L. Joe sat right behind you. You swore your heart was going to pop out of your chest any moment. Blush crept up your cheeks. Luckily, the teacher came in and you became too distracted to take notes.

You heard a pencil drop and looked down. You picked it up and looked back. L. Joe was staring straight at you. You timidly held it out and whispered, “Is this yours?”

“Thanks.” L. Joe smirked.

Your heart screamed with joy *He smirked at me!*

When he took his pencil back, his fingers accidentally touched yours.

A zip of electricity rushed through your finger and you slightly jumped.

L. Joe smoothly twirled the pencil between his fingers and stuck it behind his ear.

You slowly faced forwards again and a smile spread on your face. *That was so cool!*
