“YAH!” Your door burst open.

Your eyes widened in shock and you rolled off the bed, “OOF!”

Your stepcousins rolled their eyes, “Stop with the body gag. Hurry up and make breakfast so we can go to school!”

“Okay. Coming.” You fumbled over the nightstand for your glasses. Without them, you couldn’t see anything.

You put them on and ran downstairs. You quickly scrambled eggs and made toast.

Your stepcousins came down in their pretty uniforms with their hairs straightened and curled. Their high heels shining from you scrubbing them hard last night. Yunie, the senior, tossed her hair and sat down, “Did you make my fruit shake?”

“Yes, no apples since you don’t like them.” You set it down.

The junior Jamie said in her high-pitched voice, “I don’t want toast. Get me a muffin instead.”

“There are no more.” You said.

“Then go buy some!” She gave you a hard glare.

You flinched under her gaze, “B-but I have to get ready or I’ll be late.”

“DO YOU THINK I CARE?! I TOLD YOU I HATED TOAST! WHY DON’T YOU EVER LISTEN?!” Jamie shrieked. Yunie snickered.

Your stepaunt came in holding her head, “Aigoo, I’m about to have a headache. What is with all the commotion in the morning?”

Jamie complained, “She is being stupid! I told her I hated toast and she expects me to eat it! She purposely ate all the muffins last night to anger me, fat, selfish bitch!”

“Jamie, just eat for today. Stop with the yelling.” Your stepaunt said. She glared your way, “What are you doing? Get out of the kitchen.”

You ducked out. You peeked inside to see the girls enjoying the food you made. *They’re eating it well yet they still yelled at me.* You glanced at the clock and gasped. You had no time to feel sorry for yourself. *I better get ready or I’ll be tardy!*

You raced upstairs, washed up, and threw on your uniform. You just ran a brush through your bed hair, fixed your glasses, and ran out the door with your backpack. You hopped onto your blue bicycle.

The front tire was slightly flat but Yunie wouldn’t let you use the air pumper.

You pedaled fast towards school.
