“Keep In Mind That I Love You.” – W (This Isn’t Goodbye)

It isn’t difficult to notice that there’s something wrong. There hasn’t been a rehearsal in weeks, there hasn’t been talk of a new album, or another concert; it’s almost as if they’ve fallen off the face of the earth, never to return. It started not long after the concert in Tokyo Dome. JaeJoong was absent from a rehearsal occasionally, giving no reason except that he ‘didn’t feel well’. Then he started missing two rehearsals of their three per week. And then he didn’t show up at all. Phone-calls went unanswered, messages left unreturned. Despite how much Yoochun and Junsu were hoping he would show back up and say he’d been hit with the flu after a few days, it seemed as if that wasn’t going to happen.

Yoochun had been suspicious from the start, really, though he hadn’t brought it up to either of the other members of JYJ. It wasn’t until JaeJoong had vanished from rehearsals completely that he did say something about it, though, when he went to see Junsu over the weekend. It’s a quiet, hesitant question though, full of worry.

“…hey, Junsu? D’you think that something could’ve happened to Hyung…?” he asks softly, earning a frown from Junsu. The other man sighs, shaking his head.

“I don’t know…it’s possible. Maybe that’s why he hasn’t answered us, and hasn’t shown up to rehearsals…I asked his oldest sister the other day when I ran into her at the store if she knew anything, but she hasn’t heard from him, either.” Yoochun frowns when he hears this answer, not all that happy about Junsu’s take on things. It definitely wasn’t what he wanted to hear. The elder sighs, shaking his head and looking out the window of Junsu’s room.

“I think perhaps it’s time we put that spare key he gave us to use, since he doesn’t seem to want to answer our calls…” he mumbles, glancing back at Junsu. The younger gives a nod, sighing and standing.

“I think you’re right, Hyung.”
