Tiffany Hwang, a twenty-three-year old soon-to-be-married realtor finds herself nearly addicted by her grandmother's life, Mi-young as she skimmed through the deceased old woman's diary. Finding out later that her grandmother was indeed heartbroken, she felt her tears rolling from her pale face as she closed the notebook. Raising her head, she finds herself in a different world. Although she knows she is still in her grandmother's house, as it had the same furniture, the same structure and the same beauty, she knows something is different as she was on a different time. 

She was on her grandmother's house in the year 1945!

While in there she meets the young and handsome Andrew Choi, Mi-young's fiance who had broken her heart, as Mi-young and fell in love instantly with him. Love that had failed even during her grandmother's time. And she was on the year 1945 to fulfill it.

HWANG MIYOUNG

Being the fragile daughter of a rich man, Miyoung was always prone to hurtful moments. One event in her life that had driven her nuts was when Andrew Choi, the love of her life had broken her heart as he had married another girl. She never married anyone nor had a family of her own and aged and died a ! 

She was Tiffany's grandmother, sister of Tiffany's grandfather, Hwang Chansung and Tiffany's favorite friend who kept telling her bedtime stories right before she died due to heart failure. She was a devoted writer and had written her love experiences in her diary which she had left in her old house's drawer.

ANDREW CHOI 

The American-Korean guy who moved to his home country after spending a decade in the United States, studying Botany and Law. He went home and meets there Mi-young (who was in this story was actually Tiffany), an eccentric girl and instantly falls in love with her. However, being the loyal and obedient son, he agreed to marry Choi Sooyoung although it's againsts his vows, hurting Mi-young in the process.

CHOI SOOYOUNG

The girl destined to marry Siwon. Although she seemed to be disliking him at first, she was secretly in loved with him and was happy with their engagement. She pretends to smile up front when Miyoung was around but in reality she frown and curses her. She was an outgoing person though and fun to be with and best of all she loves eating.

HWANG CHANSUNG

Mi-young's older brother and Tiffany's grandfather. At first sight, you can say he's a cocky ert but if you came to know him, you'll see he's nowhere those. Tiffany always felt uneasy hanging around with the younger version of her grandfather and pretending as his sister. He wanted Siwon for Tiffany so he always tries his best to make Sooyoung fall in love with him so the engagement can be cancelled. But continually fails.

KIM TAEYEON

Mi-young's sole bestfriend who always tells her advises regarding her relationship with Siwon. Although she knows things about love, she still hasn't experienced any incidents about love. 

IN THE PRESENT TIME

TIFFANY HWANG

The curious granddaughter of Mi-young who had read her diary. As she had finished reading her grandmother's life, she found herself on a different time where she meets the love of her life. Although she was also engaged in the present, she knows that he doesn't love her fiance and it's only Andrew that she loved. She believed that arranged marriage could only destroy lives and was determined to cancel her marriage upon going back to the present, if ever she can.

CHOI SIWON

The grandson and only heir to the Choi industries. Although he looked like a boastful man, he was actually a God-fearing man despite of his size. He was Yoona's fiance and had unconditionally loved her since childhood, although he knows that she does not feel the same. He occasionally sees Tiffany in his dreams but doesn't really consider it a big deal.

LEE DONGHAE

Tiffany's fiance who is always around to follow her. He doesn't love her and she knows it. It's just that he can't resist of having a crack with her since she was such a workaholic and serious being. Although he always wears a smile on his face, he was actually a sad guy as he was not with the love of his life, Im Yoona.

IM YOONA

She tends herself to be serious towards people but is actually a happy-go-lucky girl who likes to befriend everyone. She was Siwon's fiancee and the adopted child of the Cho Family who was a close friend of the Choi family. Her parents died when she was younger in a car accident and was then put in the care of the Cho family. She still do keep her Family name but is considered as one of the Cho's. She was Donghae's ex-girlfriend but had to separate ways of him because of an incident.

CHO KYUHYUN

The adoptive brother of Yoona who was smitten off her. Although Yoona treats him only as her older brother, he can't help but love her more because of the sisterly love she's showing to him. He dislikes Siwon and Donghae a lot. because of them being much closer to her. He is oblivious that someone behind him loves him.

SEO JOOHYUN

One of Yoona's close friends. She always has her eyes on Kyuhyun but is always rejected because of Kyuhyun's liking on Yoona. She later then agrees to help him buld up his relationship with Yoona just to make herself closer to him.
