Sera's green eyes were as sparkly as that time at the ball. She emitted a warm and welcoming feel, which took away a bit of Siyeon's nervousness. She was not quite tall, in fact, she was rather short but she didn't look cute next to Shigen. Sheer elegance and a calm friendliness and happiness – that was what she exuded but Siyeon didn't doubt that she was a woman with a lot of personality.

“We haven't met at the ball but Shigen told me that you were there.”

She was only slightly taller than Siyeon but somehow, Siyeon felt quite small next to her. “Shall we head to the living room? You must be tired from the drive.”
A chuckle came over Shigen's lips as he pointed ahead. “It's right over there. Chanyeol, accompany your mother and Siyeon. I will be right there with you.”

The living room was nothing but luxury, even though the room looked simple furnished. Siyeon carefully sat down on a squared chair in front of a round table. “Feel comfortable. So, how is school for you? Chanyeol told me that you didn't know that you are one of us.”
Every word sounded friendly, understanding and empathic but there was also curiosity in her voice. Of course, who wouldn't be curious if someone like Siyeon suddenly popped up out of the nowhere.

“It was scary and confusing at first and I felt quite lost. It got better though over time,” Siyeon answered truthfully because since she was sure that no one here would judge her for it. “Oh, I can imagine that! It must have been pretty awful for you, considering how harsh and cold our society is.”
Sera wasn't the first person who admitted that but she was the first who sounded like she was angry about it.

“Some of the students must have been quite hateful towards you. I heard that there was some cases of bullying as well?”

With a worried expression, Sera sat down and offered Siyeon some tea, which she took out of courtesy. “There were but it stopped after a time. Probably after I received extra training and help from a friends, which also includes your son.”
A smile hushed over Chanyeol's face, so as if he was proud of the fact that he helped Siyeon but then he remembered that Kai practically had dragged him to help training Siyeon. Nevertheless, he had helped her progressing somehow and that was enough for him to be proud of.
