Ikebukuro – Toshima, Tokyo 999 AD (after the new time reckoning.)

“Next stop: Ikebukuro. Please get off the railway to the major train stations, bus lines or other railways. Next stop...” The magnetic railway was filled with people, young and old. The scent of perfume, after shave and sweat mixed with the cool air of the air conditioner. The railway stopped, the warm air of the early spring morning mixed with the air of the railway wagon. “Please be careful while walking down the stops. Please follow the lines.”

Slightly translucent steps appeared in front of the door, which connected the floating railway with the ground of the station. People started to rush out of the wagon, all in hurry to either catch the next railway or go to work. “Out of the way!” Some of them said with a loud voice but the people didn't make any space. They tried to walk as fast as they could but in the end they had to slow down in front of the card check point. As they past through it, they picked up their fast pace again. It was a normal day, just like everyday.

Among all those people, there was one girl who was not in a rush. Her short brown hair tickled her neck and her chin, and wiped her jaw with every step she made. Her school uniform easily said that she was a high school student. Music buzzed from her headphones which closed herself from the rest of the world. The shouldered bag she carried bore a hapkido uniform and a some other training stuff for different kind of sports.

Unlike many girls her age, the girl didn't wear any makeup. She saw no use in it, especially since she had so many sports to do. Her steps became lighter as she left the station. As the sunlight hit her dark hair, it started to shine a slight red. She wore fake specs just because she liked them. All together she seemed to have a strange sense of fashion. Since it was warm enough, she wore a pair of navy blue shorts and a bright orange shirt, which seemed to be too short at the stomach part.

In the eyes of many other teenagers her age she seemed to be pretty strange but in her honest opinion, she was just a normal, average girl, just like everyone else. She did what she liked and for her, the word 'normal' had no specific definition.

Her phone suddenly rang and she pulled out one headphone. “Yes? Where are you? Ah, I see. I will be there in a minute.” A sigh came over her lips, which curled to a small smirk. It disappeared as fast as it came though as she saw the day of the week on her mobile phone.

Monday.

She hated Mondays. They were so strange, in her opinion. Mondays were the start of every week but for her, they were the start of hell. “Siyeon!” A voice suddenly called and the girl looked up. The smile returned to her face and her brown eyes sparkled. “Iori!” A girl with slightly pink hair ran towards her and pulled her into a hug. “Oh my, you changed your hair color again? Last week your hair was green, if I remember right.” Iory grimaced and sighed theatrically. “I know, I know but I didn't like green anymore, that's why I decided to dye it pink.
