I nearly forgot that today we will have P.E. classes. And it’s one of the subjects I hate the most. Basketball is the game we are going to play. A very tiring one and I actually don’t have any skills on this game.
I tied my hair in a neat ponytail, clipping my bangs at the side. I stared at my reflection at the mirror. This is going to be the first time I saw myself like this. My hair tied in a neat hairstyle where my tattoo can be seen by everyone. I usually skip this class but our coach warned me about failing this subject one more time I don’t attend again.
Why does it have today when this Kris guy is here?
Even though it’s hot outside, I zipped my tracksuit up to my neck. Only half of my tattoo can be seen. I hope no one will notice because I know they will bash me for this again. My shoulders slumped down and I tightened the band on my hair.
“You look pretty and simple today.”
I instantly spun around and saw Kris stretching his long arms, walking outside to go at the open court. I looked around and I’m the only person inside.
Does he think I like him? Is he hitting on me?!
This is going to be the first time I’ll use this. I dabbed some face powder on my tattoo to at least hide it and have the same color as my skin tone. Ugh, why do I hate to feel this burden? I should just ignore what others think. Yeah, that is better.
I ended up wiping the face powder off and walked out to the open court. I’m the only one who’s wearing a jacket and the others are wearing their t-shirts and jogging pants. I rolled my eyes and ignored their whispers.
The first batch is divided into two groups and unfortunately I’m included to this one group and our opponent is Kris’ team. By the way he dribbles the ball, he’s definitely a player. I just stood at the center when the coach calls my attention. “Ms. Shim Eun Joo! Take your jacket off and wear the appropriate uniform.” I heard my classmates snickered.
I walked over the bench and removed my jacket leaving me without any choice. Right when I took my jacket off, air brushed through my skin and my classmates finally saw the tattoo behind my ear.
Some of my classmates find it cool but most of them criticized me for having it.
“I knew it. That’s why she’s that weird and scary.” “What if she’s a member of a mafia?” “We better keep our distance to her.”
I swallowed hard and ignored them as I drag myself back to the open court. I placed my hand over my eyebrows to see the court since the sun above is really blinding. I hate this game so much why do I have to play this?
“Your tattoo suits you so much
