I woke up under what I think is suppose to be a tree. It was burnt and weak. I looked around and the world looked grey. I coughed and sat up. There was a sharp pain in my stomach. I clinched my abdomen and stumbled to my feet. I took a second look around to verify I was alone. “What happened?” I asked myself swiping the dusty air from my face. A sudden flashback hit me, I remember now, I have to make sure my brother’s okay. Even if it’s the last thing I do.
