Chapter 14

Onew pulled me out of the elevator, tugging lightly on my hand. He seemed nervous, but excited. So I smiled and walked next to him, swinging our arms. When we reached our apartment door, he sighed and dug around in his pocket for his keys. He gave me a nervous smile when he finally found them and he hesitated before unlocking the door.

"Um... It's kind of a mess." He warned me, again.

"You already told me this." I laughed.

"I know. But... it really is." He smiled crookedly. I just laughed.

"I don't care how messy it is, just open the door."

"Just... Don't hurt me too much, okay?" Then he stuck the key into the lock, twisted it, and pushed the door open.

He was right.

It was a mess.

The first thing I saw when he opened the door was the living room.  There were clothes everywhere. I walked into our apartment and walked through the living room, trying not to step on the garbage on the floor. There were beer cans and pizza boxes everywhere. 

"Beer? Really?"

"Sorry."

"It's not that I don't want you to drink... I just, I want to be here when you are, you know? So you don't get hurt. I know how you are."

"I know. I'm sorry."

"I'm not trying to be naggy..."

"I know! You aren't! It's okay."

We were so awkward. It was like our first date. We were both so awkward and nervous, it took us tripping over each other to finally unwind and start talking like normal people.

I walked over to the bedroom door and sighed. I knew it would be bad. I looked back at him and he sighed too. Then I held my breath and slowly opened the door.

There were piles of clothes everywhere. I couldn't see the bed. My clothes, his clothes, my shoes, kitchen untensils... all over the floor. The closet was open and it looked like a twister had gone through there.

I looked back at him, raising my eyebrow.

"SORRY." He covered his face, laughing. "Don't hurt me!"

"Oh shut up." It really wasn't THAT bad. Though it did smell a little. "Why are my clothes... and my shoes... all over the place?" It definitely wasn't that way when I left. Not left. Correction, was stolen.

"Well... When I first found out you were gone, I kind of... flipped out. I went crazy and ripped everything apart. And then when I saw everything I had done, I couldn't bring myself to clean it up. It made me think about the day you visited my apartment for the first time."

"Oh..."

I remembered it so clearly. It was the day he told me he loved me.

The next chapter is a little flashback XD This was short, I know, but my computer is being a jerk
