I'd been training and taking acting classes for years now, and I've been waiting for my "big break" as you'd call it in America or my "debut."

2 months ago, I was finally told by the CEO at our company that the managers and him think I'm ready for the world, and they'd booked me for a new movie where I was going to play "the other woman" to the main leads.

Goddamit. My first gig, and I'm playing a damn mistress. But still, a gig is a gig.

I wasn't told who I was going to act alongside - which didn't really matter much. I was too nervous by the plot to worry about being nervous about who the big star  is I was going to have to see everyday, with jelly knees. I supposedly had a kissing scene (yes, on my first ever acting stint) and then I die before half the movie is over. Basically, the movie is about looking for my murderer. I'm kind of the main character, then? LOL. A dead one. Sure.

The movie was to begin its shoot in a few months, and they were having a Pre-Shoot get-together. Now, I didn't exactly know that a "get-together" meant a damn expensive ball with wine, champagne and lots and lots of beautiful people in expensive branded dresses and suits.

Bollocks. I don't have any expensive dresses - I'm a freaking trainee! We get peanuts as an allowance! Worse, I can't afford a W2,000,000 dress, I'm going to start paying back my training fees soon! I'll go bankrupt before I earn my first W1,000 ($1)!

I called So Yu and whined to her on the phone about my dress, and the whole ball. She empathised, and told me that her mom actually owns a few Vera Wang dresses and that she'd hook me up with one.

Her mom picked me a long midnight blue dress that merely scraped the floor. It was cinched at the waist, and had a . The soft flowy material left little to imagination. The sleeveless dress was just.. perfect for words! I thanked her mom by baking her a huge Red Velvet cake with Nutella in the centre.

My newly-assigned manager was to drive me to the ball in one of the company cars.

Oh this is it. I'm finally debuting........
