Dara's POV

Four years later.

"Sweetie, can you give that to Mommy?" I pointed the one cup of butter. "And sugar too please." After Sohyun handed those to me, I smiled then kissed her forehead. "Thank you." While chopping the butter into cubes, I can sense her gaze. Unlike other kids who is active at this age, we noticed that she is the opposite. She is shy towards others. However, if she is with Jiyong and me, she is acting naturally. Talkative. Full of energy. Asking too many questions. According to Doctor Hye Sun, there are really kids like that but eventually, she will learn to have interaction with others.

I pour the butter and sugar together with the baking powder, flour and salt on the bowl then start to mix them. At home, instead to bake using electronic gadgets, I prefer to do it manually. Then I glance at her. She is staring intensely on what I am doing. After her second birthday, baking together became our hobby as I noticed her interest into it. She is also watching Heejin Ahjumma when cooking our meals. She could be a chef someday.

"You want to try this, Sweetie?" Her face brightens. While looking to her eyes, it's feel like I am looking at Jiyong. I smiled then gave her the bowl and the wooden spoon. "Slowly, okay?" She just nodded and concentrate herself in mixing. Then I get the butterfly shaped pan and spread the remaining butter into it.

After a while, Jiyong suddenly enter. He went home early today.

"Daddy!" Sohyun suddenly put down the bowl and run into him.

He smiled then open his arms and carry her. "What's for today, baby?" He kissed her temple.

"Butterfly cake!"

They went beside me then he kissed my cheek. "Wow. I am excited to taste it."

Sohyun giggled while I smiled. "You're early."

"I am the boss."

I just laugh then pinch his nose. Both of them stare at me when I continue to mix those ingredients. Dad have another real estate project here and he let Jiyong to handle it.

I keep on mixing until it appear dry and crumbly. Then I add eggs and beat the mixture until the eggs are fully incorporated with other ingredients. Then I add vanilla and continue mixing. After that, I pour the cup of milk into it then gently stir. Later on, all ingredients are blended. I pour it into the butterfly shaped pan. Then I put it on the oven and set the timer into 25 minutes.

"Is it ready to eat after that?" Jiyong asked me.

"Not yet. I'll make a frost to add taste."

"Mommy, I want to help!"
