Day 3 (Wednesday)
Friends with "Benefits"
“In the future,” Luhan said before he swallowed the soup and continued to speak afterwards, “just enter. I never lock the door after I come home from work. But if it is locked, then call me.”
Baozi nodded and swallowed some his soup. He took another spoonful. His stare rested on Luhan who was sitting in front of him. Luhan still wore his suit and he’d worked until they should eat. Baozi’s thoughts went, wondering about many things about the human being who sat in front of him.
Luhan felt the other’s gaze upon him and looked at the boy. “Is there anything you want to ask me?”
Baozi went out of his trance and looked down at his food. He took another spoonful. “I was just wondering,” the spoon was still placed on his lips when he continued, “what do you do for a living?”
A smile spread on Luhan’s lips. “It’s nothing interesting, really. I just work at an office.”
“How’s it like?” Baozi asked interested and asked enthusiastically again: “How is it like to work at an office?”
Luhan let a soft chuckle leave his throat. “You’ve never tried to work at an office before?”
The Korean man shook his head and listened carefully to the Chinese.
“It’s… not really special or anything. We talk and fool around a little. And then of course we work,” Luhan tried to describe it as good as possible.
“Is your work difficult?” the boy enthusiastically asked. He thought something as ordinary as working at an office was really interesting, but that was probably because he’d never tried it himself.
“Hmm… it isn’t that difficult, but I have to keep my eyes on many things,” Luhan looked at the boy and added, “my job may be a little harder than my co-workers’, because I have another position.”
“Another position?” Baozi questioned, but merely got a smile in return.
“I’ll explain it some other time,” Luhan’s eyes darted elsewhere when he added, “maybe.”
