"Yuri!"

Jessica shouted as she ran, but her chest was starting to tighten up as her breaths were getting really heavy.
She eventually fell down onto the ground, as Yuri's back view became smaller and smaller.

Please..
Don't leave me..
Don't leave me like this..

I've no one to rely to when I started to rely on you..
Please..
Yuri..

A loud thud was heard and Yuri turned her back immediately, face filled with tears after pulling herself away from Jessica.
She loves Jessica, more than she understood it.

Because all she wanted was to make Jessica happy, and not make her feel any bit of burden due to her existence and presence.

She thought that Jessica hated her.
But she was utterly wrong.
Jessica was starting to fall in love with her, her care, concern and the abundant amount of love she has given to Jessica.

She turned around, only to see Jessica, losing conscious as she ran back, silently cussing inside herself for walking off on Jessica, that amount of distance that made her take seconds longer to get back to her.

"Sica!"
"Sica, wake up!"
"Please!"

However much Yuri shook Jessica, called her, shouted for her, Jessica didn't even budge.
There were trails of tears down Jessica's face, despite the fact that her eyes were shut.

Within seconds, Yuri scooped Jessica up swiftly and ran towards the road to get a cab.
Jessica had lost plenty of weight after falling sick the few days ago, therefore it explains how easy it was for Yuri to carry her up.

You're going to be fine, Sica..
And once you've recovered, i'll get you more food to fatten you up!

You're far too light now..
I don't want you to lose anymore weight, okay?
If you really don't want me as your girlfriend, lover..
Its okay, i guess.

I want you to be healthy and safe.
I'll be your friend, to take care of you whenever you need me.
If you need me to shield you from Taeyeon and Tiffany's love, i'll be there.

You name it, i'll do it for you.

"Ahjusshi!"
"Seoul National Hospital please!"

Yuri said worriedly as she urged the driver to drive faster, assuring her that any speeding fines will be fully taken care of by her.
All she wanted now was for Jessica to receive medical help.

«°FLASHBACK°»

"She was born with a hereditary heart disease which is pretty serious"
"That's why she was forbidden to run or do any strenous exercises as she will tire herself easily and get really breathless"
"Her parents forced her to run till one day, she collasped onto the ground"
"After being sent to the hospital, we realised that she had an hereditary heart disease"
"Her parents doesn't have such disease but her grandmother did"
"That's why"
"She also has an asthma which had stopped few years ago"

"It has deteoriated Yuri"
"Her asthma came back"

"Came back.."

Yuri muttered slowly under her breath.

"Is it serious now that it came back?"

"You can say so"
"And she was dragged off like that.."
"We've yet to even treat her"

«°END FLASHBACK°»

As soon as Jessica was being wheeled into the trauma room being treated, Yuri paced outside the trauma room,
biting her lips, hoping Jessica to be okay.

It was only 30 minutes later when Dr. Jin came out giving Yuri a small smile.

"Hey Yuri"

"Dr. Jin!"
"You're finally out!"
"How is she?"
"Is she okay?"
"I didn't mean to make her run and pass out like that!"
"Please tell me she's fine!"
"It's all my-"

Dr. Jin smiled and put his hands on Yuri's arms, squeezing it lightly as if some kind of comfort and encouragement.

"Don't worry, she's fine"
"I've given her the green light for discharge after her IV only if you'll be taking care of her"
"She's asking for you too"

Yuri let out a sigh of relief, smiling a little to herself.

Thank goodness, you're fine.
What will i do if you're not..

Sica, don't ever scare me again like this.
Im not worth you falling sick and staying in the hospital okay?

"But, it doesn't mean she's healthy enough to be doing all sorts of stupid stuff"
"She still has to come back tomorrow, provided that you're bringing her back"
"If not, i'll keep her here for a week"

"I'll bring her back as long as she's willing to go with me, Dr. Jin"
"I love her, i really do"
"Im willing to do anything for her, Dr. Jin"

Dr. Jin nodded with a chuckle and lead her to Jessica, who was lying on the bed.
A nurse was by her side fiddling with a machine that was about to be placed over Jessica's nose and mouth like how an oxygen mask was to be placed.

But Jessica was pushing it away with an annoyed look.

"Jessica-sshi"
"You've to put this on for 30 minutes"
"Just 30 minutes, Dr. Jin instructed us to do it for you"

"I don't need this"

She said, sounding annoyed even though her voice was weak.

"If you don't take it, i'm going to go get Dr. Jin back here, Jessica-sshi"
"Don't make it hard for me, okay?"

The nurse cooed, trying to put it on again but Jessica pushed it off again.
She hated to have the mask over her.
She used to have it so frequently in the hospital when she had asthma.

Yuri sighed and took baby steps towards Jessica.

"Sica.."

She called out gently, with a sad expression.

"Yuri?"

Jessica smiled.
That smile was so beautiful and happy even though she was sick, the happiness was coming out from the inside.

"I'm sorry.."

Yuri apologised, a tear ran down her cheek and fell onto her top.

"I didn't mean to be the reason that you ran"
"I didn't mean to be the reason of you being sent back in here.."

"Yuri"
"Come over here, and take a seat"
"Sit down here with me"

Yuri hesitated for a while before walking over to Jessica.
As soon as Yuri sat down on Jessica's bed, Jessica pulled Yuri into a hug.

"I-"

"Jessica-sshi.."
"Please?"

The nurse interrupted again with a desperate look, pleading Jessica to not make her job difficult because it's difficult enough with plenty of handful patients the whole day.

"I said i don't like it"
"Dr. Jin knew i hated those"
"Get them-"

Jessica coughed, both Yuri and the nurse threw her a worried look.

"Sica, listen to the nurse"
"Okay?"
"You're sick, you need to listen to Dr. Jin's words"

"Yul"

Yuri was surprised at how Jessica called out to her.

Yul..?

Why..
Am i hearing things..?

Jessica smiled at her shocked look.
She pulled herself nearer to Yuri's face, and whispered into her ears.

"Don't leave me"
"You're not annoying me"
"I like.. you.."

You like me..?
Are you sure..?
You don't have to reciprocate to my feelings, Sica..

Don't force yourself to do things you don't want to./

Jessica whispered softly with a few soft coughs in between.

Yuri's eyes widened as the words came out of Jessica's mouth and into her ears.
She couldn't believe what had she just heard.

"Rr..-"

Just then, the curtains were pushed open and Dr. Jin came in.

"Dr. Jin, Jessica-sshi refused to take this"

The nurse complained with a frustrated look, holding up to the mask.

"She was pushing it away"
"She said you knew about this"

Dr. Jin rolled his eyes mockingly and laughed.

"Jessica, how long has it been?"
"You're still like this"
"Do you prefer more jabs instead?"

"Dr. Jin!"

Jessica whined with a cute pout.

"I'll take my medications on time"
"Please, i don't like those"
"That medicine in it stinks!"
"It makes me sick to the stomach and weak after that!"

"Well.."
"Im sure you can forget about that if you intend to stay here for a week?"

Dr. Jin said, laughing to the nurse as he scribbled onto the charts of Jessica.

"This is unfair!"

"Well, life isn't always fair, is it?"
"Besides, who told you to run?"
"Who-"

Jessica laid back down onto the bed, upset yet cute, arms folded against her chest.
Yuri shook her head a little, getting off the bed and pulled the blanket over Jessica caringly.

"I guess we have a deal"
"Nurse Joo, you can put that thing on her now"
"She'll not take it off, trust me"

Dr. Jin said with a smirk, shaking his head at the childish Jessica.

Yuri then sat down on the chair beside Jessica and smiled.

"I love you, Sica"

She whispered softly into her ears.

"But you don't have to like nor love me"
"You don't have to force yourself to"
"I promise i'll try my best to stay as your friend"
"I won't leave you"
"If there are times that i'm gone, it meant that i needed some time away"
"Alr-"

Jessica put her index finger over Yuri's lips, with an uncomfortable expression as the medication was being pumped through the mask over her nose.

She picked up Yuri's hands, and scribbled something on Yuri's palms.

"Don't leave me"
"Never"

Yuri was smiling at the words written on her palm as Jessica helped Yuri closed her hands up.

"I won't"
"I promise"

Jessica nodded as she was started to get a little drowsy.

Dr. Jin, on the other hand was satisfied with Jessica for the time being, nodded to himself and the nurse before the two walked out of the room, leaving Jessica and Yuri alone.

Jessica drowsily picked up her phone, and sent Yuri a text message that made Yuri felt like she was on cloud nine.

Receiver: Yuri
I like you, and maybe sooner or later, i'll fall head over heels for you instead of progressing from 'like' to 'love' to 'crazy'.
Im sorry to have broken your heart, hurt your feelings before.
Im not the kind of person who can easily express myself in words, verbally.

Like now, it's not the best time too..
Since i have this annoying stinky medicine smell all over my face..
I hope you'll still be here when i wake up because.. im getting really tired now..

Yuri smiled and kissed Jessica on her forehead, watching her entering her slumberland on the white bed,
surrounded with beeping machines around her.
