“Somebody! Call fire station now!”

Residents who saw the fierce fire that almost swallow the house ran to nearby river taking water by using bucket or anything that they might do to slow down the spreading fire. Around twenty minutes later, a fire brigade came and five firemen came out trying their best to calm down the fire hence stop their wildness. Unfortunately the situation getting worse as strong wind worsens the situation. Fire getting ferocious and it is almost impossible to stop it.

Around three hours ago, in the same house, two girls are studying together since the exam is around the corner.

“I don’t know how to solve this problem.” Jessica threw her pencil on the table. “Owh my, this subject is killing me!” Jessica said with her loud yawn while staring at her friend who still concentrates to her study. “I’m boring Sooyoung. Let’s have some fun.”

“Wait until I found the solutions for this question will you? We just start our study few minutes ago and you already said you are boring? Go to the kitchen and find something to eat.” Sooyoung respond while looking her book in the same time.

“Hhmmh!” Jessica sniffed. She went to her friend’s kitchen and opens the refrigerator. The location is of the kitchen is not a problem for Jessica. They had be best friend since their first meet when they are six years old. She grabbed two mineral water and went back to her friend.

“Water?” Jessica gave the bottle to Sooyoung.

“Thanks.” She opened the cap and drinks the water. “It’s almost dawn. My stomach is calling for food.”

“Hhmmh! Just the way you are.” Jessica chuckled, but then loud grumble can be heard in the room. Sooyoung smiled.

“I think yours are calling for food too. Just stay here. I’m cook rice for us to eat.” Sooyoung ran to kitchen. Few minutes later, Sooyoung came back to the room.

“Sooyoung, what else do we need to do besides waiting for your rice?” Jessica closed her book, lying on the floor.

“How about we think what else can we eat besides than rice?” Sooyoung lied on the floor next to Jessica.

“Yahh! Is there anything important thing to do besides food and eat Sooyoung?” Jessica slapped her stomach. “But I guess you are right anyway. I checked and nothing else can be eating besides than your smelly cucumbers and watermelons in your refrigerator.”

“Okay. It is not my fault if you are destined to hate melons that much. Hhmmm…oh yes. Do you know that Yoona and Seohyun declared themselves as official couple in our school?” Sooyoung tried to out from the topic.

“Are they? Which Seohyun? The girl who is the excellent student in our school? The one who hold the position as the headman in our school? Is that girl are you talking about?” Jessica stared Sooyoung with the smile on her face.

“Yes! That Seohyun. And do you know Yoona? She is also known as the drama queen. Lots of theatre she have involving and lots of character she have been hold to but she never fail to impress the audience. I already saw her theatre once and all I can say is she’s amazing.” Sooyoung shook her head, impressed the girl in acting.

“But I don’t think they will stay longer.” Jessica said confidently.

“Why do you say so?” Sooyoung stared at her friend.

“Yoona is good in acting. I don’t think that she’s sincere towards Seohyun. Poor Seohyun. I really hope that she does not get fool by Yoona.” Jessica stared the ceiling, shook her head.

“Don’t judge the book by its cover. It could be yes but Yoona looks serious to Seohyun. Last time I saw they are grabbing hands together while shopping in the mall last week. Arrghh! So sweet!” Sooyoung hug her teddy bear tightly.

“Hhmmh! I don’t believe in happy ending love especially in teen era. They just want to be couple to get popularity in school. That’s all.” Jessica chuckled.

“Yeah. Maybe you’re right. But it’s a really bad thing stabbing people from behind.” Sooyoung stared at the ceiling. “Jessica, can I ask you something?” Sooyoung stared at her friend.

“What is it?” Jessica turned her head toward Sooyoung.

“Won’t you surprise if I said that I love you so much and I don’t want to lose you? I rather join you to go further study in the same college or university even though I do not like the course I take just because I want to be with you?” Sooyoung said.

“Yah! What are you talking about? You have bright future, Sooyoung. Don’t waste your opportunity. And yes, I love you too. Thanks for appear in my life since my first step in this place. Thanks you for your helping hands for giving advice and courage so that I can speak and befriend with people more often. Thanks for you, my pronunciations are improving and I can talk with people confidently now.” Jessica wrapped Sooyoung’s arm.

“Jessica, I really can’t imagine live without you. I want time stop so that I can spend more time with you.” Sooyoung Jessica’s hair.

“Me either.”

Jessica smiled. Freeze air from outside lower the temperature of the room and both friend feels sleepy. They closed their eyes; smile can be seen from their face, before they fall asleep.

Burnt smell coming from the kitchen filled every single space in the house. Poor thing is that Jessica and Sooyoung does not realize or sense that dangers are around the corner.
