Minor Technicalities

AND ANOTHER SamuraiGirl chapter. This girl..smh. I swear she's amazing. I love this chapter so much that I think I read it like 4 times within the first hour of her sending it to me. It cracked me up so much, so make sure to leave your thoughts about the chapter!!

"Tada!" Seung Hyun announced with a flourish as he removed the tarp that covered his brand new car.

"Oh my God!" Mari exclaimed as she ran to the passenger side of the car. "Can I touch?" she asked him, her hands mere inches away from the window.

"Sure. Go ahead," he said, amused at the pleased look on her face as she carefully ran her hands on the top of the window. "Do you like it?" he asked as he walked towards her.

"Do I like it? I freaking love it! I guess rapping must really pay a lot, huh?"

He laughed, noting how incredulous she sounded. "It's not the rapping that paid for this. It's the endorsements," he replied, pulling out his phone to sneakily snap pictures of her adoring his car.

He watched her as she walked around it, her eyes wide like a child's. She took off her sunglasses and hooked them to the front of her shirt.

"Endorsements? So the other guys have cars like these, just from your endorsements?" she asked, abandoning her interest in the vehicle.

"Well... I'm sure they can afford to buy expensive cars. It's just that I have more endorsements than the others. Oh, plus the drama and the movies. And the photoshoots," he explained.

Mari looked like she was thinking about either having her way with the car or dragging it with her to the nearest church.

"Must be nice to get paid for being such a camwhore," she quipped, smiling up at him. Seung Hyun leaned against the driver's side, snagging her sunglasses from the V of her shirt. "So what are you going to name her?"

"Her?"

"Cars are always female. Actually, modes of transportation are female."

"The Transformers are all guys," he observed.

"I mean, they're all named after women," Mari said, sounding like a professor.

Seung Hyun laughed, finding the idea of naming a car more than a little funny.

"Mari, just because you name every single thing you have doesn't mean I have to."

"Fine. Your choice."

"But it's a nice car, right? A Lamborghini should confirm my pimp status," he said, nodding as if trying to convince her.

"Not really. I think Ji Yong's Bentley is more pimp."

"And what does a Lamborghini make me?"

"Obscenely rich. Like oil fields rich."

"Well, Lamborghini or Bentley, it doesn't really matter. It's a cool car."

"It's a bad ass car. Wait, do you even know what this car is called?" she asked, eyes cutting in his direction.

"I haven't named it yet."

Mari rolled her eyes in exasperation. "I know you haven't named it and you're probably not going to. I'm asking if you know the model."

"It's a Lamborghini convertible," he replied, feigning offense.

"This is so wasted on you. This is called a Lamborghini Reventon Roadster. You might want to remember that when you're photographed with it so you don't sound like a doofus."

"Whatever. You want to get in?"

Before he could open the door for her, Mari streaked to the passenger side and sat down. She squirmed in pleasure at the leather interior. She then leaned over and unlocked the driver's door for him. As soon as he sat down, Mari started taking pictures of herself inside the car.

He watched in amusement as she made an array of faces, her camera producing never ending flashes before she looked at him curiously.

“What?!”

“Nothing,” he smirked with a shrug, his hand moving to rest on her knee, “Just enjoying the scenery.”

She shrugged, returning to her task when his hand slid higher up her jean clad leg, massaging her thigh gently. Mari turned to face him, watching a slow mischevious grin come across the rapper’s face. The expression quickly disappeared when she slapped his hand, a loud crack ringing through the small interior of the car.

“What do you think you’re doing?”

“Well, I thought maybe—“

“Hyun-ah,” she said slowly, trying to compose herself, “This car is not something you deface by having a quickie in the back seat. This is a car to be cherished..nurtured,” she cooed, hands sliding over the leather slowly, “How dare you even think of such things,” she mumbled, eyes narrowed, “I would never.”

He sighed, slumping back in his seat, hands falling to rest on the steering wheel, “Then what do you want to do?”

"Let's take it out for a test drive!"

Seung Hyun shifted uncomfortably in his seat.

"What? Just a drive around the block. Wear a hat or something so your fans don't see you. Come on!"

"There's just one problem."

"What?"

"I don't have a driver's license."
