Blinded
Description
It's funny how in the end, the blind one could see more than the seeing one ever could.
Foreword
"Hyung, you still use a notebook? For a guy who's so up to date with all of the latest trends, I thought you'd be all over the electronic stuff."
"Stop messing with my things. It's a notebook. People write things in notebooks."
"A diary?"
"You wish." Jiyong gave his friend one of his 'Really? I thought you knew me better than that' looks.
"So, what is it then?"
"It's like a Death Note. I call it, the 'All the ways I-can-kill-off-Seungri-when-he-annoys-me' book."
"Ha, ha. Very funny," Seungri commented dryly as he put the notebook back in its place. The book didn't look like anything special anyways. It was a regular spiral notebook that was a little worn along the edges, and it didn't have much paper left in it. If Jiyong did have a diary, it was bound be something extravegant, something eye-catching that matched with his personality.
"Good, now can you please get out of my drawer?"
He let out a sigh of relief after he turned his back to Seungri. It was a close call, but he managed to avoid a messy situation.
Jiyong was just happy that his personal belongings would remain right where he wanted them; away from prying eyes in his underwear drawer. Although now that his hiding place has been compromised, he figured it was about time he found a new one.
He didn't really expect to change places so quickly, but honestly, what kind of person goes through someone else's underwear drawer?
The answer to that, apparently, was a person like Lee Seung Hyun.
He didn't really know why he bothered keeping that notebook anyway, especially when he had no use for it now. Lyrical raps and tatoo designs had no place in the world of real estate and stock exchange.
Or maybe it did, but his father just chose to ignore that part.
"Youngbae, you called me late."
"I'm sorry, Hyung."
"Three hours late. What the hell did you do last night?"
"Well, Seunghyun hyung took me to the bar and-."
"He took you where?!" Youngbae winced at the sound of his brother's voice through the phone. He could feel a lecture coming on. He also felt a little bad about making Seunghyun look like some sort of irresponsible alcoholic, but saying that he was at a bar with a friend was better than saying he was out all night dancing with some street kids he barely knew.
"You should know better than to be in a place like that. It's practically a death trap for you. Drunk people, loud booming music, no way of knowing where you are in the crowd. You'd be stuck there until Seunghyun decides to drag his drunk home. You know better than to drink, it's bad for you health," Hyunbae scolded.
Youngbae couldn't help but scoff at his brother's last remark.
"I'm pretty sure that drinking won't make my eyesight any worse," he replied matter of factly, though he has yet to have a single drop of alcohol. Even though his brother didn't say anything about his blindness, everything was pretty heavily implied in the way he spoke. His brother treated him like a baby that always needed looking after, which was true to an extent, but he didn't want to have to depend on other people for the rest of his life. Besides, he already felt like a great burden to his brother. He was the whole reason why his brother was so far away, working hard in order to earn money to pay off his little brother's medical expenses.
"You know, you won't be around to take care of me forever," he whispers. "You need to find a wife, start your own family, live your life."
"You are my family," Hyunbae replied in a more gentle tone. "I'm not going anywhere until I know you're taken care of."
At this Youngbae let out an exasperated sigh. "Who would want someone like me? Whoever marries me is going to have to take care of me for the rest of their life. Besides, I can get along just fine on my own."
He could tell his brother had a lot more to say on the matter, but he could hear a voice calling out his brother's name in the background, probably a boss telling him he needs to go. Sure enough, when his brother spoke again, he cut straight to the point.
"I'm calling Seunghyun later. Take care, I love you."
"Love you too hyung," he whispered.
Alright, I know I haven't written anything in awhile, but my other stories were getting pretty depressing. This one will be slightly less depressing (I think....) and it's my first fic where GDYB are going to end up more than just friends. Kind of got this idea by watching some asian dramas and watching some music videos where a guy falls in love with a blind girl. It's probably going to be a very cliche story, but whatevs.
