Description
When it was announced that Korea would be the home of a new, resurrected version of the classic ballet Swan Lake, this time using an all- male cast, the dance world was set alight in anticipation.
Of course, there was no question as to who would be playing the lead role. The famous Choi Minho had been one of the most well-loved male dancers for years, and had taken the male lead in almost every production he’d partaken in in the past 5 years.
But critics were furious to find that Choi Minho had not been cast in the leading role as the Swan, but as the Swan’s love interest: The Prince.
Who , then, was cast as the lead dancer?
Well, some ‘Small-town amateur who has not the maturity to portray the White Swan’s innocent purity and the Black Swan’s dark, jealous lust’ according to the critics.
But they haven’t seen the way that Lee Taemin dances.
Yet.
Minho never thought when he first met his new dance partner that this boy would end up ruffling so many people’s feathers.
