Description

Dong Youngbae is back to his normal self again after experiencing the deepest pain of his life.  Behind the music, the camera lights, and easy smile he remained a man of solitude – always thinking, always over-analyzing.  Always remembering.  He put forth all his effort into releasing his solo album, drowning out his love-sick memories and everyone around him.  Too exhausted to care, Youngbae didn’t make time for love.  But slowly through the course of time, it seemed that Love was pulling him under her spell once again.

It's been over a year since Eun Amina left home to pursue internship opportunities abroad.  And had it been her choice, she would have never returned. But Fate has other plans and sends Amina packing back home – only to bring her face-to-face with the one person who made her feel weak to her knees.  The one person that almost made her lose sight of her goal.  The one person that made her forget herself.

When Love and Fate gives Youngbae and Amina a second chance, they quickly piece together their innocent love - only to discover it’s nowhere left to be found.  Forced to start anew, they uncover that they're essentially strangers during a time when they need each other the most.  When falling in love again seems like the hardest thing to do, can Youngbae and Amina put their past behind and live in the present?  Or will the scars of yesterday hold them back?

WARNING:  Character Death (minor)

Foreword

“There’s a hot new waitress here,” said Han, nodding towards Youngbae. “Tight, y, little body. Might just be your type.”

Youngbae glanced up absentmindedly, fiddling with his paper napkin.  He cocked an eyebrow across the table.  Out of politeness he responded, “Yeah?”

“Yeah… fun-size.”

Teddy peered up at his friend and asked, “Where?”

“Heading this way.”

The two men swung their heads towards a familiar petite frame heading towards their direction, her ombre long brown waves falling in stacks down her back.  She was busy grabbing her tray that she didn’t notice the table of men she was about to serve, but at least one gentlemen already recognized her profile.

Teddy smirked and nudged a preoccupied Youngbae with his elbow.  “Hey… that’s definitely your type.”

Youngbae heard the sarcasm in his hyung’s voice and looked up from the table, turning right as their waitress introduced herself. His heart stopped.

“A-Annyeonghasaeyo… Amina imnida.  I’ll be your wait…” Amina broke off as Youngbae stood up and grabbed her arm, pulling her away.

“Yah!  Let me go!” she hissed through clenched teeth.  She peered around her, hoping her sajangnim wasn’t seeing this.

He let her go when they were behind a divider and away from prying ears.  Youngbae eyed the tight black mini-dress that hugged all her curves and rode high above her thighs.  He asked with a look of disbelief on his face, "What are you doing here?"

Amina narrowed her eyes, "What do you mean, 'What am I doing here?'  I work here."

He leaned into her space.  "Shouldn't you be working at a hospital or something?"

She straightened her back.  "I work there too."

Youngbae pulled back in surprise.

"Neh," she challenged.  "What else?"

"You didn't call me."

Amina clamped shut.

His eyes accused her.  "Did you forget about me again?"

Again.  She knew he was trying to make her feel guilty about the first time.  But it didn't faze her.  Didn't override the hurt she was currently feeling inside. "Mianhae..." she sarcastically replied with a tilt of her head.  "I didn't call, because I was afraid your girlfriend would pick up."

He flinched.

"But you know, its okay," Amina smiled brightly and tried to play it off.  "It's not like... I expected you to wait for me or anything." Her lips started wavering and her eyes lost its sparkle.  She was going to lose it in front of him.  She quickly turned away.

He grabbed her before she could move.

"Jagi..." Youngbae said through clenched teeth.  He could feel her body tremble against his and he gripped her tighter.  He leaned down and whispered into her ear.  "There's no one else.  I waited for you."  He took a deep breath.

"I'm still waiting for you."

AUTHOR'S NOTE:  Annyeong! This is the second installment for the Sun-kissed series.  If you haven't read the first part, here is the link:  Sun-kissed  I would like to thank all my subscribers who have stuck with me from my first fanfic until now.  I hope to make this part even better than the first!  This story will be longer than the first part, so forgive me if we start nearing the 100 mark (I just have too much planned for this couple =] - however, I may break it up and make a 3rd part.).

I want to give a big shout out to my YB homie, simplYBe.  You are like, my sister from another mister, haha.  I don't think I've ever spent so much time psychoanalyzing my characters before!  But because of you, my characters feel more alive and real... so for that, kamsahamnidaaaa!  This story is dedicated to you.

Big thanks to my Tabi babi, sweetcouture.  Even though I keep failing to put more of your man in here, you still take time to weed through my writing and provide me constructive feedback to get me through my slumps.  You truly are the best, chingu!

Please continue to comment, vote, and subscribe!  I try to reply to everyone's comment and questions as best as I can, and will occassionally incorporate your feedback into chapters.  For my repeat comment offenders below (you know who you are... because if I don't see a comment from you, you know I eventually hunt you down... lol), thanks for continuously providing me feedback on each chapter!  It's because of you that I'm becoming a better writer.

with love - msvickie

Thank you for part 2. I have to admit that I was getting a bit depressed by Amina's depressed state but I can understand it. I alsogot frustrated that thry weren't listening to each other, not hearing/understanding what was said. But then again I can understand it, where they were comibg from. I hope these 2 stories gave you sme kind of closure and that you can start builing your life again, bit by bit. Himnae & hwaiting! Xoxo

Chapter 75: I really really love this story. I was immediately in after a few chapters and I'm so happy I finally finished it. And I would have never guessed any of it could be related to your own personal life! Thank you so much for sharing, I'm sure that it must have taken a lot of strength to put such personal aspects into your story. I wish you all the best, stay strong, and hope to read more beautifully written stories from you. :3

Chapter 75: I really loved this whole story, from beginning to end. You are very talented at writing an I'm wayyyy jealous of you! (^_^)

My Father passed away at the end of May, and I couldn't read any FF at all. I, like your cousin, feel like acting crazy. Not by partying, but eating my emotions. It's my coping mechanism. I'm ashamed to say I've probably gained 50 pounds since his death.

It's been 7 months since his death and I'm now starting to get my back in gear. I cried when I read the rest of your story today. It was a good cry.

Msvickie, I know we haven't talked in a long time, and I apologize for that.

I can't wait to read more of your stuff!! <3
