Description of Characters

Kim Taeyeon: She graduated from the same college as Nichkhun Horvejkul, Jessica Jung and Jay Park, and was in a stable relationship with Nichkhun up until the day of their graduation ceremony, when she left for Australia, the country her father wanted to bring her late mother to stay after they retired. She had always been kind and understanding, which was the main reason why she left. With the addition of her beauty, she had always been wooed by other men, but her heart stayed with her first love, and she never got into another relationship even after they broke up. Taeyeon works as a freelance singer, but she is so popular that she constantly performs and thus, her income is pretty high.

Nichkhun Horvejkul: He is the only son and the sole heir to Horvejkul Corporation. His father passed away when he was ten, and his mother not only brought him up by herself, she had to take care of the company too. He really loved both his mother and Taeyeon, and was devastated when his mother disapproved of their relationship, even without seeing Taeyeon. His mother wanted him to marry her best friend's daughter, Victoria Shinawatra, but he was against the idea. Even though he kept telling others that he had already gotten over Taeyeon, everyone, including himself, knew that he had never managed to do that.

Ok Taecyeon: He was a high school friend of Taeyeon, and had a secret crush on her. After they graduated, he lost all contact with her, as his family brought him to study overseas, and Taeyeon had moved when he returned. He got a job working at Jung Hotel, where he met his first love again. He could tell that Taeyeon and Nichkhun have something between them, but he still wished to be the one bringing happiness to Taeyeon.

Jessica Jung: Being the best friend of Taeyeon, she was upset when she wanted to leave her true love behind and leave for another country, but she could understand why Taeyeon did what she did. She agreed to pass the letter Taeyeon had written to Nichkhun. She still kept in contact with Taeyeon, and occasionally visited her in Australia together with her then-boyfriend Jay. Both her and Jay knew their respective best friends were still in love with the other, and planned to let them meet and end up back together again.

Jay Park: He fell in love with Jessica at first sight, but it took him almost two years to woo her, and from then on, they were deeply in love. Jay knew that he would propose to her one day, so he worked hard and saved enough money to buy her a ring, an action he feels would mean more compared to simply asking his parents for the money. He is Nichkhun's best friend, and had seen how devastated he was when Taeyeon left. He was initially angry at her, but after knowing what had happened from his then-girlfriend, he forgave her, and even pitied her for having to leave her love behind.

Victoria Shinawatra: Her mother is a Taiwanese who moved to Thailand when she was eleven, while her father is a Thai, and she has lived in Thailand since she was born. Nichkhun's mother and her own mother were best friends, and they had already planned for their children to get married, so that they will become closer. Since young, she had been told that she will marry Nichkhun when she grew up, and had never gotten into a relationship, believing that Nichkhun will be the one for her. However, when she went with her mother to visit Nichkhun and his mother in South Korea, she got to know that Nichkhun had a girlfriend. She plotted for their breakup the first time, but now that Taeyeon is back, she would have to prevent them from getting together again.
