Working Things Out

Minho's mouth is wide open as he meets Yoona's doe eyes.

"Minho, are you okay? Is there something wrong if she will sleep here?"

"it's not because there's something wrong..but...." Minho's voice is cracking up a little. He's not really surprised if a friend of hers will have an overnight in her house, it's kind of about his prediction. He came all the way to that part of the house, thinking that a guy is inside the house. It confuses him that he starts to he is now relieved when it wasn't a guy.

"Minho, watch the food on the stove. We're just gonna go upstairs" Tiffany goes ahead and Yoona is about to follow Tiffany but then, Minho grabs her hand.

"does she know anything about what we're doing?"

"don't worry, she won't tell anyone" Yoona slowly removes her hand from Minho's and then walks away.

"I guess that means that it's okay that I told about it to Yunho" Minho leans his back on the nearby wall and crosses his arm. He chuckles a little and he finds his self funny. Why did I only think that a guy is visiting Yoona? That's really a stupid idea.

Yoona is setting the bed that Tiffany will use for the night.

"Minho is a handsome guy and he's very charismatic" Tiffany conplimented Minho

"handsome? Are you blind?" Yoona is denying Tiffany's compliment though she thinks that she is right

"look at him...he's really handsome"

"whatever" Yoona is finished fixing the bed. Tiffany can't wait to see the 3 of them together. She's wondering how Yoona and Minho will be like in front Yoogeun. She wants to see them evolve from being cold to each other into a sweet and lovely couple. Just imagining it, Tiffany really wants to laugh.

The four of them are now gathered on the same table for the dinner. While eating, Tiffany is really not contented of what she is seeing right now. Married couples should be talking happily about how their day worked out, they should be flirting with each other and lastly, they are showing how in love they are. But what Tiffany sees, nothing. Just a couple eating a dinner and not even glancing or having an eye contact. As she glances at Yoogeun, she notices that his eyes are also at the two so she's guessing that Yoogeun is thinking of the same thing.

"omma? appa? You act really weird together" Yoogeun said. Yoona and Minho both lift their heads to meet eyes with Yoogeun. Tiffany is relieved that she doesn't need to mention it anymore since Yoogeun already did.

"weird? Why?" Yoona asked

"you act like....you don't know each other" Yoogeun sighs

"huh?? How...how did that happen?" Minho chuckles, trying to be funny in front of Yoogeun.

"it's just that, what I am witnessing right now is not the usual thing I see between married people. Maybe you just need to be used together and I understand that"

"oh...okay.." Yoona doesn't understand what Yoogeun is saying but there's one thing that she knows, it might be obvious that she and Minho aren't really comfortable with each other.

Minho is just eating to make his appetite contented and Yoona too. Until they've finished their meal, Minho and Yoona didn't even have a conversation. When Minho and Yoona are already inside their room, Tiffany knocks.

"get in" Yoona shouted then Tiffany pushed the door open

"guys, we should talk" Tiffany surprises Yoona and Minho with her moody face.

"what are we going to talk about?" Minho sits on the edge of the bed and Yoona keeps her distance from Minho. Tiffany approaches Yoona and grabs her hand.

"what are you doing?"

"stand up" Yoona does what Tiffany said and she drags her to let her sit next to Minho.

"what is this?"

"you're pretending, right? Why are you using yourself in this kind of process?" Tiffany puts her hand on his waist and she's like a teacher scolding her students.

"whoever you are? I don't have time for this" Minho stands up but Tiffany pushes her back to the bed "ouch!! Yah!! Who are you to do that?" Minho yelled

"please, act like a real couple before Yoogeun caught. Haven't you noticed anything? He asked you why you're acting so weird together and it means one thing, he wants his parents to be like other married couple. Do you understand what I mean? Put that inside your mind, araso??" Tiffany throws away her face from Yoona and Minho and she walks out from the room. "I'm going to admit it, they look good together"

"what was that?"

"she's just saying that....."

"I understand what she's saying but does that mean what we're doing is not enough?" Minho is really serious this time

"well, she has a point. What should we do? She said that our acting is not good enough Minho is lost at words because he is thinking. As they sit next to each other for a longer time and all they do is just staring and glaring, that awkward feeling that they use feel every time that they are together are slowly erased. They really want to start speaking but both of them feel shy

"Yoona, can I ask you something?" Minho started the conversation

"sure"

"so, how did.....how did Yoogeun happen?" Minho is about to back out from asking this but, he is really curious and he thinks that, once Yoona told her, it can be a way that they could be closer

"you want to know?" Yoona meets with Minho's eyes

"yeah"

"I'm a college student that time when I met Yoogeun's dad. He is handsome and very popular with the girls. I'm a shy type back then but, I can't believe that he would notice me. We've became friends and later on, we fell in love with each other. One day, he brought me to his house. His parents are abroad so he's alone. He asked me if I love him, of course, I said yes. And because I love him and thinking that he loves me too, something happened to us. When I've found out that I'm pregnant, I tried to inform him but I just found out that he already for abroad and someone told me that everything that we had was just a part of a bet" tears are about to escape from Yoona's innocent eyes. Minho feels like he wants to wipe them

"I can't believe that I was tricked and deceived by his appreciating and humurous words. All along, I really though that he loves me and during the times that Yoogeun is still on my tummy, I was hoping that he also loved me. Since that day, I cursed that guy that if ever I'll see him again, I will feel burden and hatred, nothing else and I will never....ever...forgive him"

Minho looks at Yoona pitifully

"I can feel how hard it was for you...just thinking that you took care of Yoogeun almost just by yourself"

"whenever I remember those times, it reminds me how dumb, ashamed and dirty I am that's why I decided to take up law. I just don't like things to happen the 2nd time"

"Yoona, don't say that.You're not what you think of yourself. It's just that,maybe the guy is just good in tricking you. Don't ever think that way again,okay?" Minho slowly wrap his arm around Yoona's shoulder and pats it. He doesn't the strange feeling right now in his heart but after having a deep talk with Yoona, it makes him feel that he wants to know her better. He can feel the presence of peace on his mind and heart. This is likely to be the first time that they are not fighting because of useless things. Yoona's head falls on Minho's shoulder and it surprises him. Though it's making him nervous, he doesn't mind it anymore. What he's doing has no any point and will just lead to nothing. Minho felt a tear that dropped on his neck when he is carressing Yoona's hair.

"are you crying?" Minho touches her flawless cheeks without any doubt

"I'm sorry. It usually happens when I remember those things"

"you're making me feel guilty. I shouldn't have asked you if I knew that you will cry" Minho is insisting if he should wipe her tears but, it hurts his heart to see a girl crying. The 2 has no idea that Tiffany has been watching them all along.

"finally, their awkward moments are over..wow,they look cute" as she heads back to her room, she realizes something. Minho is acting differently now to Yoona but, isn't it odd? Just a simple talk, Minho just transformed into that sweet and caring guy. Tiffany is suspecting that there's something with Minho, just like how Yunho suspected him.

"Yoona, you should get some sleep now"

"I forgot. I still have lots of work to do" Yoona crawls onto her bed and lies down. Minho puts on her blanket and strokes her hair

"Tiffany said that we should act like a real married couple, right?" Minho kisses Yoona's forehead and she's quite shocked but later on, she just think it's normal

"good night, Minho" Yoona closes her eyes then Minho lies down on the couch, staring blankly at the ceiling. It is surpising for both of them that it working things out became easier. They didn't really have a good start but Minho is now determined to be a father and husband. Thanks to Tiffany's words.
