Hannah has been living the life as a teen idol in South Korea. With no actual connections to the country or culture, Hannah is actually from Sweden; growing up in a small city for almost 16 years, she along with four friends of the same age came to Korea in for an audition as a band for SM Entertainment. Almost five years ago, these five 15-going-16 years old girls won a contract with one of the biggest record labels in South Korea and soon enough they made their debut as the girl-group 5 Pieces – a loved and hated girl-group with Swedish members that somehow have become one of South Korea’s most successful and popular artists and icons, gaining more and more attention worldwide.

While living this amazing life with top selling albums and hit songs, Hannah is no longer a teenager and as she is growing so is also her group, leaving Hannah with so much more on her mind than just the passion to sing on stage and living the dream.

5 Pieces is expanding worldwide. Having the image of being charismatic and strong women, living far away from home and succeeding in every challenge they occur, the girl-group have gained world-wide attention for their strong songs and lyrics, their fun yet difficult choreographies, catchy melodies and a stage presence that surely have made both women and men get shaky legs. But what seems to have caught the most attention is the fact that five years ago when 5 Pieces first made their debut, all they had was stage presence – their singing or dancing weren’t even average – but it was their stage presence as well as unique personalities that were eye-catching. 5 Pieces keeps their image off stage, where they speak their mind and don’t hide to reveal their foolish sides. The image of 5 Pieces is as natural as they would be at home with a bunch of friends, and they passion that have made them go from minus 0 to over the top in everything they do astonishes, impresses and inspires people.

Individually, 5 Pieces’ members have done more than just performing as a group. Solo activities with their own solo songs, book releases, acting, radio DJ, modelling, song-writing, having their own variety/reality shows and it seems like it is nothing that these girls can’t do.

2013 has now started and 5 Pieces is spreading out to promote outside Korea. A new challenge that they have slightly tried on before with single releases in Japan and internationally for the rest of the world, but this will be the first time 5 Pieces will spend most of their time outside the country they have been living in and learning about for the past four-five years. They are planning months of promotions in Japan and with their third international single [Daze] being released this month the girls will head to America for a quick promotion, all because the love-calls are flooding in. 5 Pieces is gaining popularity and attention; they are called to come here and there and the girls will be planning concerts and solo activities and more for 2013. It will be a crazy year, and with 5 Pieces celebrating their fifth year in Korea, they are welcoming it with open arms and big smiles.

But everyone knows that every day can’t be of just smiles, and beside from being idols, the members of 5 Pieces are still humans. They want to grow more as artists to not disappoint themselves and their fans, and there are so many things going on in the minds of the 20-going-21 years old ladies. Antis versus fans, nationality and uality; there is a tough battle for 5 Pieces to face their differences and what tries to bring them down when they constantly have to think of their every movement, every word and every expression because everything they do can be misunderstood. Life has never been easy, and for these ladies who reached a dream like this, it could be hard to keep. But you can’t either expect to receive anything without working for it.
