Dear Diary,

I love my life. I’m disciplined and work hard for my money. Every morning I wake up at 5 AM to spend a few hours on milking the cows. I fairly divide all the work with my mother. We run this farm with just the two of us because my father passed away, years ago. He suffered from Creutzfeldt-Jakob. It’s a form of BSE, the famous disease for cows, known as “Mad Cow Disease”.

After milking the cows, I usually spend hours on the fields. We are specialised in all sorts of vegetables.

In the evenings I have spare time for myself. I don’t go to school but I like reading study books from the little attic room upstairs. It’s only a small wooden house but it’s cosy. The books are old biology books from my great-grandfather - or even more generations ago I don’t know – but they are so useful!

We don’t have a television or other luxury; just an old radio and a telephone, which we only use for emergencies. We barely have contact with the world outside. Once a year we visit our cousins in town.

I'm living a peaceful life and I don’t ever want it to change. As far as I know wealthy people are usually spoiled. We only buy things we need and we only eat when we need to. That is: 2 times a day.

I follow this schedule almost every day, until one morning... when an unknown car drove up our aisle. My world turned upside down. In a bad way.
There were six mysterious guys sitting on the open back of the vehicle. An older man, I assumed their father, walked our aisle and I couldn’t help but being curious so I grabbed my binocular, and watched them from my window in the attic room.

They had the strangest hairstyles I ever saw... A few of them had blond hair! I mean BLOND?! Why would you neglect your nature? It looked pretty ugly in my opinion. They were definitely rich kids from town.

All of a sudden I heard a knock on the door and I knew I was home alone.
Slowly I tiptoed to the front door and took a peak through the small hole inside. The man wore black shades which contrasted his pale skin. I couldn’t see his eyes but from the way his lips were pursed I could tell he was getting impatient already. He was dressed in a dark suit worth our year income.

“Annyounghaseyo.” I greeted politely and he did the same.

“You might have already recognized them...” He pointed to the six boys who looked bored out of their mind.

“I’m the manager of the famous boyband Super Junior and our company wants them to experience what it's like to live on a farm for a while.”

I was rather confused. “Who is... Super Junior...?” I raised an eyebrow.

He gave me a weird look like I was crazy. “You don’t know them? HAHAHAH... THEY are Super Junior!” Again he pointed to the six boys who seemed to be in a terminal state of mind now.

I was taken aback by his blunt laughter and felt humiliated. Super Junior?! And you must be Super MAN or something...? I raised my eyebrow at him.

“Anyway...” He continued. “I’m looking for a place of residence for my boys...”

“Oh... Mianhaeyo, but there is no room left here, I don’t think we can feed another six people.” I excused.

Right when I was about to close the door, my mother appeared around the corner and she had followed the conversation.

“Na-young ah! What are you saying? Ofcourse we’ll accept them... Although we don’t have a lot to offer, we’ll take good care of them for the next months, you don’t need to worry, sir.”

“Kamsahamnida... it’s exactly what they need. We want them to experience what it’s like to live very austerely for once.”

Then he went back to the car and pushed the boys off. Reluctantly they took their luggage from the car.

“Oh, I almost forgot one crucial thing...” Their manager exclaimed to his boys “Cellphones...” he held up his hand in the air.

They whined while digging their pockets and carrying out a mysterious little electronic thing.

My life...is over.

Great, this is just going to be GREAT!
