"I can't believe this is yet another Christmas that I'm spending by myself," I muttered to myself.

"What do you mean by yourself? Hellooooo?" My best friend Jaejoong waved a hand in my face. "Am I a ghost or something?"

I rolled my eyes. "Ugh, you know exactly what I mean. 26 and still single."

"Being single isn't bad you know. I'm single right now," Jaejoong said.

"Oh please....." I muttered again. Jaejoong had just broken up with his girlfriend of half a year just a few days ago.

"What?" he pouted.

I rolled my eyes again and suddenly thought back to the first day I met my best friend in kindergarten.

"Oops. I ran out of red clay," said a voice to my right. I turned around and saw a pale boy standing next to me.

"Do you want to borrow some of mine?" I asked him. He nodded his head yes. I ripped off some of my red clay for him and watched as he sat down at the kiddy table next to me. He was building something all in red.

"What are you making?"

"A big heart," he responded.

"Ohh." I went back to making my own figurines out of the colored clay. A few minutes later, the boy stood up and came next to me again.

"Thank you for the clay. My name is Jaejoong. What's your name?" he smiled.

"My name is Erika."

"That's not a Korean name.."

"My daddy is from Korea and my mommy is from Japan. That's why my name is Japanese."

"Ohhh.." Jaejoong nodded his head as if he understood. "Can we be friends? You're nice to me."

"Okay, let's be friends."

"Okay, bye Erika!" he said before walking off. I curiously watched him as he left me alone again. Then I saw him walk up to another girl and give her the big heart he made.

My eyes widened. So that's who he was making it for!

After a few years of growing up together, I realized that Jaejoong was a hopeless romantic. He dated people all the time, hoping to find the perfect woman for him. If something didn't feel right to him, he would break the relationship off. It was because of this that he had dated so many woman already. 26 years old and dare I say it.....probably the same number of relationships. It got to be so many that I had long lost count of which girl was which girl. Yes, he had just ended one relationship but I give him three weeks tops before he gets into another one. This was precisely why I rolled my eyes when he tried to convince me that being single wasn't bad just a few seconds ago.

"Rika!" Jaejoong called me by my nickname.

"Whaaaaat," I answered back.

"Why are you so unhappy about it?

"Oh I don't know, maybe it's because I'm 26 and not spending the holidays with a significant other or maybe it's because I'm 26 and still a ," I said sarcastically as we took a seat on my living room couch. I grabbed the remote and the tv, mindlessly wondering about what would be playing on Christmas Eve today.

"A-ha! So that's what this is all about huh?" Jaejoong asked as he threw an arm around my shoulder.

"I don't get it. Is this news new to you or something?" I didn't even bother looking at him as I flipped through the television guide on the screen trying to find a show or a movie.

"Of course it's not new, but if you're concerned about it, why didn't you just do it with the last guy of yours?"

"I ended it with that guy before we even got to that point and I'm not concerned about it. I'm just stating it as a fact."

"Oh admit it, you're obviously thinking about this!"

"Okay okay. So maybe I have been thinking about it lately. But it's not like thinking about it will help me find the right guy," I retorted.

"You don't have to find the right guy. You just have to find a guy, which I definitely know is easy for you."

"Uh huh, so why don't you find me a guy."

Jaejoong grabbed the remote from my hands. 

"Easy.......Me."
