CHO KYUHYUN

Someone once said to me:
First impressions are everything. Conversations are the rest.

Kyuhyun never had this dream; not in the entirety of his existence, in his past life and no! not even in his future life. He never imagined being considered as one of the hottest drama actors in South Korea and that includes crying, wailing, begging to his drama partner not to abandon him like what the director told him to do so.

But sometimes the things that you wished that didn’t happen were also the things you wished that had happened before. And Kyuhyun being labeled as a genius kid once had ever entertained words like love, fate, destiny and GAY.

No he is not gay but someone made him gay.

And he is only gay to that one person.

"Tell me a sweet story."

He laughed and picked up the coffee cup on the table. Steam is floating above it as he waved it gently under his nose to take in the bittersweet smell of just plain black coffee. He is just here to have a talk to one of his bestfriend who he thinks has a crush on him.

“yah monkey! You know that my mom secretly signed those papers just for me to audition to that entertainment.”

And there is a pregnant pause.

“YAH! YOU FOLLOWED ME TO THAT ENTERTAINMENT SO YOU CAN STALK ME AND MAKE ME FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU.”

The said guy hold his cup of coffee near to that monkey face as if he wanted to burn that face with the use of that hot and steaming mug.

Lee Eunhyuk places his elbows on the table, and then rests his chin into the palm of his hands. He looks at Kyuhyun, his eyes mocking. "Come on Kyuhyun. We have at least two more hours. You can't possibly just want to sit here and drink all that coffee without wanting to do anything else."
 

“I am doing something else and I am probing you right now”

Actually Eunhyuk, I do. You see, there's just something about coffee I can't resist. I don't necessarily need to drink it all the time. It's just enough for me to have it around me. It reminds me of this guy . . . No. I can’t say all that. So, I just look around the little coffee shop which is surprisingly empty on a Saturday morning like this one, trying to find my reason.

"Kyu," Eunhyuk pesters.

Kyuhyun turned back to look at him, and he become extremely irritated. “how many times I told you that there is only one person in this world that can call me kyu?”

That y stingy not adorable is back, Eunhyuk said in his mind.

"Tell me a story. They only let me out so that you could take me somewhere, but all you want to do is sit here and drink coffee!" Eunhyuk crosses his arms across his chest like a defiant child. He, like Kyuhyun, fortunately found a good path of stardom and became famous after being scouted from his school. He just simple did that b-boying then voila, he is now dubbed as Korea’s dance machine.

A small smile crosses kyuhyun’s lips. "Okay," I finally say, agreeing to something that has been long over-due. "I'll tell you a story." Kyuhyun leaned forward in his seat, and look at Eunhyuk directly in the eyes . . . searching for the Lee Eunhyuk he had thought he knew many times over, but he has always managed to fool Kyuhyun with his gummy smile and monkey hairstyle.

Taking a deep breath, Kyuhyun sat back in his seat and closed his eyes allowing the scent of coffee to engulf his nostrils. He took Eunhyuk back through the memories, from this time and place. Back to Seoul, Korea. Back to how an innocent summer started out, when he became undone and then done again. Back to how he met this 'perfection', and he used the term loosely. Back to where his heart still is – even though the doctors told him that he shouldn't be rejoicing because everything is unbelievable.

But before he tells his story, he introduced his twenty-two-year-old self once again to Lee Eunhyuk.
