Cheesy Pick-up Lines

Luhan and Minseok met in the unlikeliest of places - a bar. Being the party animal that he was, Luhan was enjoying himself on the dance floor of a certain bar downtown. He was a frequent customer, coming in every week, so he was pretty familiar with all the usual faces. As he was letting loose to the pounding rhythm of the music, he spotted Minseok.

He was sitting at the bar table sipping a cocktail. His hair was mussed and he had cute chubby cheeks. The boy seemed to be thinking of something, puffing out his cheeks. Wow, he looks a lot like a steamed baozi, Luhan thought. I haven't seen him around before. Luhan decided to try his luck at scoring with the cute boy. Truth be told, he hadn't done anything of this sort before, especially not in a bar, but Minseok looked nice and not intimidating, so Luhan decided to give it a shot. 

"Hey, did it hurt?" Luhan said in his suavest voice, as he slid smoothly into the seat beside Minseok. He was trying to be as casual and nonchalant as possible. 

"Did what hurt?" Minseok raised an eyebrow.

"When you fell from heaven?"

"Err, no. I had a parachute." Minseok smoothly rebutted. 

Wow, the guy has sass. Luhan looked at Minseok with an air of admiration. 

"My name's Luhan, but you can call me Tonight." Luhan stuck out his hand. 

Minseok shook it. "The name's Minseok, but you should call me Never." He sipped his cocktail again. 

Luhan obviously wasn't going to give up just yet. At least Minseok was talking to him. It was something. He tried again. "If I could rearrange the alphabet, I'd put U and I together." 

"Well I don't need to rearrange the alphabet cos N and O are already together." Minseok retorted without breaking a sweat. This was getting too easy. 

"You know, you look a lot like someone I know..." Luhan pretended to be in deep concentration. 

"Who?" Curiosity got the better of Minseok, and the question slipped his mouth before he knew it. 

"My next boyfriend!" Luhan grinned. He looked so childlike that Minseok couldn't help but smile. 

"Oh my god, did the sun come up or did you just smile at me?" Luhan asked in fake shock, his eyes wide open. 

"Gosh, can you be any lamer?" Minseok groaned. 

"No, because I already broke my leg when I fell for you." Luhan seized the chance and sneaked in yet another cheesy pick-up line. He was getting really good at this. Minseok shot him a blank look. 

"You know, you're cute." Minseok chuckled. "And I appreciate you trying to flirt with me even though the way you set about it is really painful to me." Luhan beamed. Minseok called him cute! Score one for Luhan. He chose to pointedly ignore Minseok's second sentence.

"How come I haven't seen you around before?" Luhan asked, seriously this time.

"I don't usually spend my weekends in nightclubs."

"Where do you spend them then?"

"Just... lazing around at home, watching TV, that kind of stuff." Minseok shrugged. "Nothing special."

"That sounds boring. It'd be much more interesting if you spent them with me." Luhan wiggled his eyebrows. 

Minseok sighed. "Not again. When you were being serious I thought I was spared from your cheesiness." 

"Evidently, you underestimated me. Persistence is my middle name." Luhan laughed, a light, dainty laugh that tinkled in Minseok's ears.

"You know, I might have agreed to go out with you if your pick-up lines had been a little less cheesy." Minseok said. 

"Really?"

"Yeah. I don't get why people use those pick-up lines in the first place when they would be closer to scoring a slap in the face than a date." Minseok mused. 

"But you didn't slap me." Luhan pointed out.

"Yeah, but I didn't agree to date you either."  

"So it's better if I just go straight to the point?"

"Uh-huh."

"Will you go out with me then?" Luhan asked, in all seriousness. 

Minseok smiled. "For the record, yes."

Hey guys! Haha my first time trying to write a fic here... as you can tell I haven't really found a writing style yet so it probably sounds very awkward OTL Xiuhan is just adorbs and I just had to write this! Can any of you actually imagine Luhan trying to flirt though XD
