The 12 Keys
Description
Every three years, there is a tournament held at the heart of Sielfa. But this year is slightly different. Instead of receiving the title of the greatest magic wielder for the next three following years as the grand prize, you are presented with twelve keys consisting of twelve immortals of literature with occult powers.
Foreword
Women were considered as dainty little intricate flowers who should stay home and cook and clean or do something ladylike. Girls who went for fighting courses weren't considered as delicate or a woman and those who didn't were treated like spoilt little aristocrats. Society didn't accept girls holding onto daggers and swinging them back and forth because they perceive it as something wiry only men should do - and it made Sehee choleric.
Sehee wants to show women who are fervor for foils or blades - such as herself - no need to mask their literal self. How things can be more beautiful when you display your ardor into lecture. And she found the upcoming tournament the perfect occasion to prove her assertion. But with her mother nagging about how scandalous it is to fight amongst the men, she finds it hard to practice her combative skills.
So when her father suggests to her a group of young delinquents to engage in fisticuffs, she immediately accepts. There, she learns how much each individual suffers from utterance just like her and how maybe the barbarous and savage people aren't always what they are labeled by society.
"We are not mages or warriors or wizards.
We are the fighters who fight for what they believe is right.
And society just has a way of labeling us as criminals
because we are not as beautiful or strong or wonderfully made
as each of them are."
