Luhan was leaning in and you were holding your breath. But he stopped and lays his head on your shoulder with a low chuckle.

“Luhan…”

“You know, no matter how hard I try, I just couldn’t kiss you.” he looks into your eyes “Because you don’t love me, you love Kris.”

“I…” you didn’t know what to say. He slowly walks towards the bench beside the fountain as you followed

“I just can’t take you away from him, because he loves you first, he’s my best friend, I can’t hurt him by stealing you. What kind of person would that make me?” he shakes his head “Hyo Ri…” he smiles “I love you, I love you… I started falling for you, slowly, day after day after you told me you like me. But then it occurred that you ‘like’ me, not love me. I was too stupid to get carried away by my feelings but I couldn’t stop it. Do you love me?”

You were speechless “I… I can’t.” it came out as a small whisper

“I thought so.” he chuckles lightly “I have always known that it would never change; your feelings towards Kris. It doesn’t matter how much he hurts you, you’ll love him, you would still love him and I know he would still love you. Kris isn’t the kind of person to easily fall for someone, he fell in love twice, first was a girl back in China…”

“China, he said it once.”

“He didn’t tell you?”

“No.” you shake your head

“Of course, he doesn’t wanna be seen as someone so vulnerable. The girl, they’ve been best friends since forever, she got greedy at a certain age when they came to realize wealth is not just money. Kris fell for her, they went on dates together, laugh with each other, share tons of stories, the day he confesses his feelings towards her, she bitterly decline it and state she already has a boyfriend and to make him look more embarrassed; her boyfriend was there, they planned it all along, all those things Kris bought her, gave her, he didn’t regret it. But he regret one thing, giving her his heart, he felt disgusted, he felt angry but most importantly; he felt pathetic to even believe that there would be someone out there that loves him not for what he has, but who he is. Then there came you, you think everyone would love that guy if he was a beggar on the street?” Luhan smiled at the thought of Kris “You fell for him, you don’t care about his wealth, his popularity, you liked him, no matter how much of an he is.” he laughs

“I did…” you laughed. You had to admit; it sounds funny “But you…”

“What about me?”

“You were always there for him, you guys are best friend and it’s because of me that you guys are like this now.”

“Nah, don’t worry about it, it’s cause of his egoistic self, don’t worry.” Luhan shrugs

“I’m sorry, I couldn’t, I just couldn’t love you as much…”

“Shh, its okay, just let me… Let me close my eyes for a second.” he whispers and lays his head on your lap; closing his eyes “I’m lying my head on an Angel’s lap.” he grins goofily

“Dream on.” you laugh but let him anyway

“I am… Dreaming, cause a person like you does not exist in a world like this.” he smiled

“And a person like you, doesn’t deserve, a girl like this.” you softly gaze at him

“Nonsense, I like you just the way you are…”

“Yah! Lee Hyo Ri! This is graduation! Not some wedding!” Seul Mi shouted from your living room

“Just a second! I’m grabbing my phone!” you shouted back from your room

“I can’t  believe you said to Lay you’re going with us, better going with him.” Seul Mi turns to Min Jung

“It’s cause she loves us.” you roll your eyes “Come on, we’re gonna be late.” you ran towards the door

“Look who’s talking.” Seul Mi scoffs

The three of you stepped out of Seul Mi’s car and rush towards the school’s hall. There was tons of people there already and the stage was decorated with white and light blue ribbons and curtains. You wanted to get to your seat until Min Jung nudges you.

“Isn’t that your parents?” she smiled and pointed to a couple

“Mom! Dad!” you ran towards the two and throw your arms around them

“You didn’t think we’d miss your graduation now did you?”

“I didn’t expect you guys would be here, I thought you guys were in Miami. Oh My God! I missed you guys so much!” you hug your mom

“We missed you too.” your dad smiles

“Miami was lovely but our lovely daughter only graduate once, she’s gonna become a woman soon.” your mom smiled

“Tsk, I’m only gonna graduate, but I’ll still be…”

“Our little girl.” your mom and dad finished for you

“The ceremony’s starting!” Seul Mi pulls your hand

“I’ll see you guys later!” you wave at them
