Description

High school drama, but also grown ups.

There are too many depressing stories in the unrated BangHim tag! UGH.

Foreword

Set in a general high school setting, a respectable area with the rich and the middle class. The students have a bit of freedom and the teachers aren’t too harsh. It’s a place for the more fortunate average population.

Characters:

Bang Yongguk

He is the “bad boy” of the school, a senior. Highly attractive and is crushed on by most of the girls and many of the guys. However, he’s actually just kind of immature on the inside, with great sense of style and posture. He’s not interested in girls or guys or romance in the least, choosing to occupy his time by fooling around with his friends, Daehyun and Jongup. The lack of interest adds to his mystique, and various circulations of far-fetched rumors spin around him, causing more and more innocent ladies to swoon. Their group is one of the most popular in the school, and they know how to have fun.

“You what with who? I don’t really care, go tell Jongup about it or something?” He goes back to playing angry birds on his phone.

“Kim Himchan… No I don’t hate him. Why would I hate him? I don’t talk to him, I see him in class. That’s like asking me if I hate the classroom ceiling panel.”

“Why the hell is Kim Himchan so annoying?”

“He’s got no life.”  He shouts above the music. “That’s why he studies so much.” Jongup nods like he doesn’t know Yongguk is lying to himself and smiles secretively.

Jung Daehyun

The snarky junior is definitely a skirt-chaser, although he’s a good bro to Yongguk and Jongup, he is always ogling some girl’s cleavage or a nice here and there. He is considered a cutie by most of the female population, but is such a flirt that no one can take him seriously. He wasn't always so aware of his physical attractivenes though. The girl friends he has had in the past never worked out for him; the girls that seemed nice with minimal impression turned out to be much less impressive and shallow once they started dating. That doesn’t stop him from continually being on the lookout for a nice catch, however. To other people, he is a nice ice-breaker and can set the atmosphere very well with his antics and bluntness, and his presence is much appreciated by any group.

“Girls certainly swoon over me now. Not like before when I didn’t look… Well. High School will be different from before.”

“Yoo Youngjae is so different from me.”

“I don’t blame him. I wouldn’t like myself if I wasn’t me.”

Moon Jongup

A sophomore, younger than the hyungs he hangs out with, but a very cheeky kid and definitely very bright, causing many others to like him as well. He knows his manners but isn’t too reserved; a noona-decimator. Unlike Yongguk and Daehyun however, he is less extreme on the spectrum of hormones. He is interested, but can balance his interests well. However, he never gets into relationships for some reason and only comments on physical appearances and will sometimes flirt subtly for entertainment. He is also very popular among his year as he hangs out with the cool upperclassmen and has a feeling of charisma. Jongup is a fantastic dancer and drops many jaws each time, adding to his overall charm. However, he doesn't take compliments in mind because he thinks they don't really mean anything.

“I’m never good enough. These people don’t actually know what good is so they worship me as if I was the best. I can’t make as much of a commitment as the better dancers. It’s frustrating.”

“I think Yongguk is cool. Daehyun is cool. They’re just a little mislead most of the time. Himchan… People thinks he’s pretty cut and dry, but I don’t know what to make of him and that’s kind of intimidating. Zelo is just really different though… I want to be friends with him but he won’t let me or something. I feel awkward.”

Kim Himchan

A senior honor student with straight A’s and a record as clean as his mother’s kitchen counter. He comes from a nice family who support his study and life well, but not emotionally at all. His parents are very materialistic people and don’t communicate very well at all and had been no help to his mental aging process. As a result, he is very level headed and mature, having learned to analyze everything in even ways and sorts his priorities well. He isn’t very social and is a little tough to get close to, but many who acquaint him find that he is very pleasant and agreeable company. Truth be told, his aura of maturity is a little intimidating and although he is extremely accommodating and goofs around with everyone, no one really feels as if they have become good friends with Kim Himchan. He is a level above them and it is as if he is babysitting them all. He does, however, have a great dongsaeng friend who managed to get into his unintentional walls.

“I don’t really have motivation to do anything else.”

“I don’t really know if I need friends. Zelo is nice.” He blinks. “Even though he is a little different.”

“I tell myself that I don’t care, but really, it kind of hurts. But I shouldn’t care, I’m going to college. High school doesn’t matter.”

“Bang Yongguk? I don’t really know him.” He continues to scribble furiously into his notes, not really paying attention the question.

Choi Junhong

He is a bubbly sophomore who is practically attached to Himchan by the hip. He is a bit dense and wasn’t put off by Himchan’s aura at all, and managed to get the elder to take a liking to him. He is shy sometimes, but really respects Himchan as a hyung, since he can tell how wise the older boy really is. His family is disorganized and off track, although they're hard working people. His parents had seemingly brought him up by a book, in a very theoretical fashion. This explains his utmost adherence to rules, and never-ending respect for his hyung. His boyish good looks attract some attention, but he is often forgotten in pursuit of more interesting and responsive people. Low profile girls have often confessed to him, but he has no interest whatsoever. He is often heard saying that he will ask Himchan hyung about anything he is unsure of. Even though he requires confirmation for everything, he is still quite capable of making reasonable decisions and can even help his hyung out of a jam sometimes, but the way he was brought up makes him unsure unless affirmed. His self esteem is probably lower than it has any right to be and don't realize that people like him as much as they do.

“I don’t know what I’m doing. I lose motivation. I try too hard in my head. I think myself into corners. How does Himchan keep such a clear head?”

“I wish I had an older brother like Himchan.”

“I do want other friends. But they don’t talk to me, I’d rather not talk to them if they don’t like me.”

“Do I look like a fool to everyone? People think I’m desperate for friends and I can’t tell their mocking tone apart from genuine friendliness.”

Yoo Youngjae

The new transfer student's mild personality has gained some negative attention from the school bullies. Even though he is already a junior, no one really cares since he's such a fun target to pick on. Not only the bullies, but everyone else has acknowledged him as the victim of all their jokes and stump to sharpen their claws. The friends he made had soon drifted and he seems to be all alone, he's even afraid to talk to those who might have wanted to become his friend.

“I don’t NEED friends. I want everyone to leave me the hell alone.”

“I don’t care what they want. I’m not interested.”

"My father? That's none of your ing business." He narrows his eyes and walks away abruptly.

Chapter 5: Wow...you're legit dropping this fic because what? You should write because you ENJOY it. Not for comments or fans. Now you have a bunch of people here on a cliffhanger waiting for an update me included. Don't start a fic to just abandon it because its hard to find a good fanfiction with all of your ships and great writing style. And its even harder when that author abandons their fic. Please continue this. Its not fair to the people even if they aren't many that are asking for this to be continued
