Author's POV

Lay watched as you stomped back towards the hotel.

He blinked as he watched you stop in your tracks and suddenly fall over.

“Yah!” he screamed as he jumped up and ran towards you.

“Wu Xinlei!” he knelt down and grabbed your shoulders, turning you over.

You were unconscious.                                  

This girl… He mentally cursed as he lifted you up bridal-style and quickly carried you back to the hotel.

Once in the lobby, he wasted no time zigging and zagging through the dense crowd.

All of the sudden, a man stood in front of him with his signature glare.

“What happened? What did you do to her?” The man snarled.

“Help me first. Ask questions later.” Lay commanded as he pushed past him and went into the elevator.

“Take her to my room.” The man said simply as he entered the elevator and pressed the button for his floor.

“But I think—”

“I’m her brother. Take her to my room!” Tao barked.

Lay looked away, deciding it was best to stay silent.

The elevator ride up to the seventh floor felt cold and slow.

Neither one of them said a word.

Finally, the elevator pinged and relinquished them from the awkward silence.

“It’s this way.” Tao said as he led the latter towards his room.

He took out his room key and unlocked the door.

“Oh, Tao where have you been?” Sehun asked as he looked up from the bed.

His eyes widened as he saw Lay trail behind carrying you in his arms.

“Wha- what happened to noona?” he asked as he quickly stood up and walked over to you.

“Sehun, go to the lobby and speak to the manager. Ask him to call a doctor and have him sent here.”

“Neh.” Sehun replied obediently as he ran out the door.

Lay walked over to the bed and gently placed you down and covered you with the blanket.

Tao, who had been sitting on the bed with his hands covering his face, slowly looked up.

“What happened?” he asked quietly as he observed your face.

You looked hurt.

Whether it physical or emotion pain, he didn’t like it.

He didn’t what anything bad to hurt his sister.

“I don’t know.” Lay replied. “She was walking away from me when she suddenly became like this.”

Tao looked away.

“T-thanks…. Ge”

Lay looked at him in surprised. Since the first time he’s met Tao, he knew the latter didn’t like any of them.
