“We need to live everyday to the fullest!” A voice screams from the streets, informing the people that come by as they project their positive message to the world. And this time they stand in front of a young man whose cold eyes just stare at the stranger.

“You have people in your life, important ones right?”

Ren blinks, “I do.” He answers plainly.

“Have you told them you love them then? Remember each day, we have to tell them we do. Have you told them?”

“Nope, can’t.” Ren says simply and just walks around the person.

Baekho’s waiting at a cafe that has too long of a line across the street where Ren finally appears, plopping on an empty outside seat next to where Baekho’s waiting.

“You could have messaged me earlier,” Ren murmurs.

“Sorry,” Baekho apologizes.

“I met Jonghyun outside your office and he chatted with me.” Ren says lowly as if it were the worst offense. Baekho is at a little loss of how to appease his jealous boyfriend. He lifts his closed bag and shows Ren his favorite sort of sweet bread.

Ren blinks but takes it anyhow.

When Ren accompanies him back to his office, they walk by the same people that’s on his route.

One of them recognizes Ren, “You have to say it! Tell the people you love you love them!”

Ren just ignores them. Baekho laughs, “Why not tell them why?”

“You’d like to see their reaction, wouldn’t you?” Ren counters, Baekho is a little mischievous in that aspect.

There were some things Ren couldn’t do, even with his vast abilities as a witch.

The fact was about the young witch with just a ten year career, was in fact cursed. Ren just accepts it when he tells Baekho as if it were no big deal. His boyfriend really did take everything in stride. Well, for the most part.

The curse doesn’t hurt him in any physical way, drawn by a bitter loser whose obsession with romantic poetry did what he could on Ren.

“It doesn’t matter if I can’t tell you, you know.” Ren declares confidently. “There’s so many ways to express how I feel about you, I don’t necessarily have to drop a few words every now and then do I?”

“Not at all.” Baekho agrees. Ren’s character makes up more than enough for it.

“See? Our relationship is going just fine without it.”

“Then should I stop telling you those words too?” Baekho says lightly.

Ren stops and looks on dejectedly, and the neon signs in front of the stores flicker a bit. Baekho immediately regrets what he said and holds him in front of the toy shop. “I’m kidding- I’m sorry! Don’t be sad.”

Ren may have been forbidden to say it, but it didn’t mean he didn’t feel it.

“You’re cruel,” Ren remarks, his voice muffled from Baekho’s coat, but takes advantage of it. He enjoyed being held. “I like hearing it from you.”

“Then I’ll say it everyday.”

“You already do.”

“Then twice a day?”

Ren contemplates that, and a glint forms in his eyes as he nuzzles closer. “I’ll think of something, don’t worry.”

And like that, Baekho learns to be afraid.

And when Ren casts a look at the toy shop behind them, he smiles to himself. Ren reminds himself just how much he liked teddy bears.
