Kris made his way down stairs; he grabbed his coat that was on the couch and made his way for the door.

“Boss!”

He turned around to see Sehun and Yitao coming up to him.

“Daddy!” Yitao ran to hug his father. “Where is mommy?”

Kris knelt down and grasped onto Yitao’s shoulders. “Stop calling him your mother. He isn’t your mom Yitao…so stop it.”

The young panda stared at into his father’s eyes. “Why no--”

“Just no Yitao. Stop it.” Kris stood up and looked at his son. “Tao is not your mother! He is your nanny…so stop calling him that!” With that he headed straight to the door and left the two standing. Sehun looked down at the young panda and slowly approached him.

“Yitao?”

He knelt down and saw that the young panda was holding back on the tears; his eyes were narrowed and his cheeks were slightly puffed.

“Y-Yitao?”

The young panda turned to face Sehun; he took a deep breath, but said nothing. Sehun felt bad and picked up Yitao.

“Don’t listen to your dad Yitao.”

“Why did daddy say that?” Yitao rubbed his eye. “Why can’t I call mommy…mommy?”

“I…I don’t know Yitao.”

“But I wanna call mommy mommy!!” Yitao said, raising his voice in the process.

“Y-you can. Just…um…just not in front of your dad okay?”

Yitao’s lip quivered and laid his head on Sehun’s shoulder. The gardener patted his back in comfort. “It’s okay Yitao.” Sehun turned to face the door that Kris just exited from. ‘Boss…what happened?’

--- (TAORIS) --- (TAORIS) --- (TAORIS) ---

Kris drove from his house to the city. He didn’t stop at a particular place; he continued to drive. Soon he was out from the city and on a highway to god knows where. Replay of the confrontation with Tao was in Kris’ mind; such sad eyes, but no tears dropping from his face.

Kris looked at his dashboard and noticed that a red light flickered; a warning that his gas tank only has a 20 to 100 miles of gas left.

‘Great.’

Kris looked at the road and noticed a sign that the nearest gas station was 13 miles up.

‘Better get some.’

By the time Kris was there, he exited from the car and started to fill up his car. He leaned against his car and crossed his arms. ‘Why did I even do that…’ He was starting to feel terrible about the whole thing. This happened to be the 2nd time that he yelled at people that he considered to be close with: Yitao and Tao. He shook his head when an image of Tao looking at him with almost tearful eyes. Kris brushed his hair back and sighed. He heard a click and turned to take out the gas pump. Kris placed it back and was about to go in his car and drive again, but his stomach grumbled.

‘I know…I know…but it is Sunday…stores are--’

He looked up and noticed that the convenience store was open. ‘Oh thank god.’ He got in his car and drove up close to the convenience store. Kris got out and made his way inside; the door made a ring, making the cashier look up from his book. The cashier had an intense gaze, making Kris look away. He wandered around the store, but nothing really caught his appetite. Instead he grabbed a bottle of water and made his way to the register.

The cashier stared at him as if he has seen him before. Kris ignored it and looked down as the glass carrier showing off scratch its, cigarette packs, and among other things. He pointed at the cigarette pack and with his right hand grabbed a lighter from the plastic bowls beside him.

“I’ll get one of those and these.” He pushed the bottle of water and the lighter towards the cashier.

The cashier grabbed a pack of cigarettes and scanned it. He took the other items and did the same; Kris gave him the money, telling him to keep the change. He grabbed the water bottle and the lighter, holding out one hand, waiting for the cashier to hand him his cigarette pack.

“Smoking his bad for you.” The cashier said with a deep voice, as he continued to hold onto the packet.

“Your point?”

“Not good for you.”

Kris leaned forward and tried to grab the packet, but was quickly pulled away. “Give me my damn cigarettes! I paid for them!”

“Are you…by any chance…the famous fashion designer, Kris?” The cashier asked, changing the conversation.

“Wha…yea I am.”

“Really?” The cashier leaned forward. “This is exciting. I met a famous person!”

“Look,” Kris sighed. “Do you want an autograph or something? I need to go somewhere and --”

“You don’t look like a person that smokes.”

‘This guy…is really asking to be punched in the face.’ “Listen,” Kris looked at the name tag. “Seunghyun…I would like to have my packet of cigarettes and I would like to be on my way…so would you please.” He held out his hand, waiting once again for the packet to be placed in his hands.

Seunghyun looked at Kris’ hands, then back at him. “Your hands look really soft, what kind of lotion do you use?”

“Any! I use any lotion type of lotion! God!” Kris was starting to get angry with the cashier. All he wanted was his smokes and leave.

Seunghyun knew that he was being annoying, but kept help but feel something else was the problem. “Jeez, man, they are just a packet…” He tilted his head at Kris and studied him. “Is there something wrong?”

Kris was caught off guard and looked at him. “What was that?”

“I asked if there was something wrong.”

“Uh…yeah?! You are not giving me my cigarettes...that is the problem!”

Seunghyun shook his head. “No, I mean…I can feel like there is something wrong. Plus, what would a famous designer like you be here like in the middle of no where…seriously…and it is Sunday…should you be like with your family or something?”

Kris didn’t answer nor looked up. Seunghyun took the opportunity to continue.

“And, I believe that people smoke because,” He started to wave the packet. “They are either addicted to this or they smoke their problems…or stress away. You don’t seem stressed…you don’t look addicted…you have some problems weighing you down.”

“Well, so what if I have some problems? I don’t have to tell --”

“Talking about it helps.”

Kris sighed. “Now why would I want to tell you? I don’t even know you.”

“Well, I‘m the only one here. Plus, it is better to let it out than to hold it.”

Kris furrowed his brow, but sighed once again. “Fine.”

“Great. I’ll close up.”

“What? Why? People might --”

“People? It’s Sunday…people are probably at home relaxing.” Seunghyun smiled. “It will be fine anyway. We can talk outside…its nice outside anyway.” He started to close the store.

“Sure.” Kris headed out and saw two chairs; he sat down and placed his water bottle beside his feet. He started to play with the lighter as he waited for Seunghyun. He looked up once he heard a click of the door being locked up.

“There. Closed for the day.”

Seunghyun sat down next to Kris; he held out a cigarette towards him, making Kris furrow his brow.

“What are you --”

“You paid for it. Might as well use the pack right?”

“But you just told me --”

“I like to smoke…so…yeah.”

“You are contradicting…you know that?”

Seunghyun chuckled. “I know. So you want one or what?”

Kris took it and lit it with his lighter. He blew out smoke and rested his elbow on the arm rest.

“So,” Seunghyun puffed out some smoke. “You may start.”

“Erm, okay.” Kris adjusted himself in his seat. “I…um…I.” He was unsure real how to start; he glanced at Seunghyun who was staring back at him. “S-sorry…I’m unsure how to start.”

Seunghyun nodded. “That’s fine. Just take your time. No rush. It’s not like I’m going anywhere.”

Kris nodded; it took him awhile to tell the cashier about his problems. He looked up and decided to tell him.

“I,” Kris started, coughing a bit in the process. “Found out last night…that my son’s nanny has feelings for me.”

“Oh?” Seunghyun raised his eyebrow at him. “That is interesting…usually you see those types of things on television dramas or books.”

“Yeah…well, it happened.”

“Hm,” Seunghyun let out a smoke. “Is she hot?”

“Huh?”

“The nanny…is she beautiful?”

Kris scratched his cheek. “Well…she…is actually a he.”

“A…he?”

“My son’s nanny is a male.”

Seunghyun glanced back at Kris. “That…is interesting…for sure. So, your nanny is gay. And?”

“A-and…?”

“Well, how do you feel about it? When he told you that…how did you feel?”

Kris was silent for a bit. Seunghyun figured that he was shocked about it and continued to smoke.

“I told him to stop.”

The cashier raised his eye brow in confusion. “Stop?”

“I told him to stop having these feeling for me. They are wrong…I mean, I don’t have any problems with males in relations with other males, heck, my chef and my chauffer are together and they are both male. My other chauffer is in a relationship with the nanny’s best friend, who happens to be a guy. I have no problem with gays being together --”

“Then what is the problem?” Seunghyun interrupted.

“I…I’m straight…and even if I am gay, Tao…the nanny…works for me. The whole employee and boss relationship…is wrong.”

Seunghyun nodded. “I see.” He puffed out a smoke, while Kris mirrored the action. It was silent among the two; nothing but a gentle breeze came up.

“Just to reiterate…you are straight. Full on straight man.”

Kris looked at him with irritated eyes. “Well…yeah.”

“Hm.” Seunghyun  threw the cigarette on the ground and put it out with his foot. “So, how is…Tao was it? Like…what is he like.”

Kris was confused as to why he wanted to know what Tao was like, but decided to tell Seunghyun about it anyway. “He is…well caring for one…especially to my son.” Soon, an image of Tao and Yitao together popped in Kris’ head; Tao carrying and smiling at his son, who was patting his nanny’s cheeks, laughing. Slowly and subconsciously, he started to smile. “And he is willing to help others…even though he is sometimes clueless on what he should do. When he first worked for me…he was clueless on some of the chores, but he learned…he even mended my scarf that ripped…even though the stitching was bad, it was thoughtful.”

Seunghyun nodded at Kris’ words about the nanny. To him, Tao seemed to be like cute little house wife.

“Ever since he came to work for me…the house seemed to be lively to be honest. Before, my son would not speak one word to me.”

“Not even a hello or…”

Kris shook his head. “Not even a single word…but that was my fault.”

Seunghyun crossed his legs and leaned back in his chair. “And so, Tao was able to make him speak?”

Kris nodded. “He was the reason that my son  was able to speak to me again. His first words in a long time…were ‘Thank you daddy.’” He smiled at the memory. “It was perfect.”

Seunghyun nodded. “He sounds like a perfect house wife if you ask me.” Kris blushed at the words and quickly looked at the cashier.

“W-what?!”

“I mean…well, from the way you described him…to me, I picture him to be like a cute house wife.” He chuckled.

“Funny that you mentioned that…my son calls him ‘mommy’.”

Seunghyun chuckled more. “That is just adorable to be honest. How did Tao take it?”

“He…was embarrassed at first, but he…I guess grew into it.”

“Ah…I see.” Seunghyun shifted a bit. He turned when he heard Kris sigh. “There is something else…isn’t there?”

“Well, he isn’t in a good state right now.”

“How so?”

“I…yelled at him.”

“For confessing that he had feelings for you?”

“N-no..,well…that too, but another thing.” In Kris’ mind was replaying the event happened between Tao and him in his room. “I have never yelled at someone…ever…I only did it twice…and it was towards my son and to Tao. God,” He leaned back in his chair. “You should’ve seen his face…it looked like he was about to shed tears.”

“Why did you yell at him?”

“I…it started with his,” Kris stopped at mid-sentence; he started to remember what Geunsuk did to Tao. Anger filled in his mind. “His former lover took him out…to a club and got him drunk and attempted to have his way with him.” Kris’ eyes filled with anger at the memory. “That bastard had the nerve of actually force himself on him when he is drunk.”

“I’m guessing you saw them…getting it on then.”

“I pulled Tao off before he could be fully exposed for everyone to see.” Kris threw the cigarette on the ground and stomped on it. “What pissed me off more was that they were making out.”

“Really?”

“W-well yeah! Indecent was more like it!”

Seunghyun raised his eye brow at him. ‘Indecent? It’s a club…don’t they do that? Have a sloppy make out session with each other? Its more fitting if you ask me.’ A light bulb popped in Seunghyun’s mind.

“It bothered you? That Tao and his former lover made out?”

“It did!!” Kris angrily yelled out.

“Why should it?”

“What do you mean?”

“Why should it matter that Tao and his former lover were making out?” Seunghyun rested his elbow on the chair rest, placing his chin on his hand. “You said that you have no problem with gays…so it shouldn’t be a problem right?”

“W-well…h-he was drunk! And was being taken advantage of --”

“Tell me this…if your two employees…the ones that are in a relationship did the same thing that Tao and his former lover did…would you care?”

“I…maybe not so much because --”

“Hm…I think I am getting something.” Seunghyun nodded. “I think you like him.”

“What?!”

“I think you are developing feelings for him.”

“Preposterous! I told you that I am a full on straight male. I don’t have feelings for Tao!”

“Maybe you are biual.”

Kris stared at Seunghyun. “W-what? Biual?”

Seunghyun nodded. “Yeah…you know…since you have a son, I’m guessing your ex-wife?”

“Late wife.”

“Late wife…a woman…and Tao…being male…maybe you like both genders.”

“No.” Kris shook his head. “No…no…no. I’m straight. I just care a lot for my employees…that is all.”

“Really…do you care for Tao more than your other workers?”

Kris stared back at Seunghyun, he remembered what Chen told him; that he pampered Tao more than the others.

“I…well…--”

Seunghyun chuckled. “So you do care for him…more than the others. Cute.” Kris narrowed his eyes and looked down at the ground. He started to ponder what the cashier said.

“Okay, maybe you are not biual.” Kris looked up at Seunghyun. “Maybe you are bi-curious.”

Kris sighed. “I dunno. I just think that I am a straight man.”

Seunghyun mentally rolled his eyes. “I think differently.”

“Well, believe what you want…but I think that I am --”

Kris was cut off when he felt a hand on the back of his neck. The next thing he knew was Seunghyun placed his lips on his. Kris’ eyes widen and threw himself back, resulting him to fall out of his chair.

“What was that?!” Kris covered his mouth. “Did you j-just k-kiss me?!”

Seunghyun smiled and nodded. “Sure did!”

“What the hell man!”

“Now, before you freak out even more, I do apologize, but what I just did…imagine Tao doing that to you.”

Kris stared at Seunghyun for a bit. ‘Imagine Tao…doing…that…t-to…’ His heart started to beat faster than normal; imagining him and Tao kissing like what Seunghyun did to him, his face turned a deep shade of red and placed his hand on his mouth once again, making Seunghyun smirk.

‘Got ya.’

“So…it must be a good image right?”

Kris slowly looked up at Seunghyun, but only back down. Seunghyun chuckled and got up from his seat; he held out his hand for Kris to grab.

“Come on.”

Kris slowly grabbed Seunghyun’s hand and was pulled up, back on his feet.

“Look…I know you are feeling confused and all…but…being bi-curious or biual is nothing to be ashamed of. I do have a feeling that you are biual…and you do have feelings for Tao. I can feel it. The way that you described him and how your son adores him…it sounds like you like him too.” Seunghyun tapped the side of Kris’ head. “You are just confused right now. But you know…it does take time for you to adjust. Who knows…maybe something will spark in your heart and will able to give by those feelings to Tao…or you know, maybe not. Maybe I’m wrong.”

Kris looked down and sighed.

“Go home.”

“Huh?” Kris looked up.

“Go home. And talk to Tao again. Last time you yelled at him right? This time…talk calmly with each other. Tell him that you can’t return those feelings and such. Or tell him that you are confused, I don’t know.” He sighed. “Just go home…because leaving it just like that…isn’t good. Your relation with Tao will turn out bad or worse…since he saw how you reacted to his little confession…he might leave.”

Hearing that made Kris quickly look at Seunghyun. “L-leave?”

“Leave. Maybe…I don’t know. Probably he is scared now. Since he has feelings for you and the way that you reacted…he might leave.”

‘I don’t want that.’ “I…I --”

Seunghyun patted his shoulder. “You don’t want that right? So, go home and talk.”

--- (TAORIS) --- (TAORIS) --- (TAORIS) ---

When Kris left, Tao went down stairs and went straight to his room.

“Tao?” Chen knocked on Tao’s bed room door. “Tao…its Chen. You want some of Xiumin’s food? You didn’t eat anything…so --”

“No thanks.”

“But Tao you need to eat --”

“Not hungry.”

Chen stared at the door. “A-alright then…um, I’ll come by later.” With that Chen left.

A few hours later, Tao didn’t leave his room, making the workers and Yitao worried.

“Why can’t I play with mommy?” Yitao asked as he tugged on Xiumin’s sleeve.

“Mommy…isn’t feeling well Yitao.”

“Can we make something for mommy? Like…like…like cake?! Mommy likes cake a lot!”

Xiumin thought for a minute and smiled. “Sure Yitao. Want to help me make it?”

“Yay!”

--- (TAORIS) --- (TAORIS) --- (TAORIS) ---

Yitao and Xiumin made a small cake and Yitao decorated the cake for his ‘mommy’.

“Like this?”

Xiumin nodded. “Just like that. Now write Tao’s name here.”

The young panda nodded and did what the chef told him. “There! Looks pretty right uncle Xiumin?”

Xiumin chuckled. “Sure does.” He grabbed the small plate with the cake on it. “Shall we go to Tao’s room?”

“Yeah!” Yitao hopped off from the stool and ran ahead of Xiumin to Tao’s room. Once he reached Tao’s door he started to knock rapidly. “Mommy! Uncle Xiumin and I made cake for you! Mommy!” But the door didn’t open. “M-mommy?” The young panda started to sniff. “Mommy…please open up.”

By the time Xiumin arrived, Yitao turned to face him with such sad eyes. “M-mommy isn’t opening up u-uncle Xiumin.”

The chef knelt down and patted Yitao’s shoulder. “He is probably taking a nap.” He sighed a bit. “Yitao can you go get the small stool that is in the kitchen? Please?“ Yitao wiped his eyes and nodded. He ran to the kitchen and back with the small stool. The chef placed the plate down on the stool, along with a fork beside Tao’s door. “Lets just leave it here. He will eat it when he is ready okay.”

“O-okay.”

“Right now…lets leave mommy alone for the rest of the day.”

--- (TAORIS) --- (TAORIS) --- (TAORIS) ---

By the time Kris got home is was already late; he quietly closed the door and adjusted the panda plush in his hand. On his way back, he thought that he should give Tao something as an apology. He remembered during Tao’s drunken confession, he mentioned pandas being his favorite animals.

He made his way to Tao’s room and noticed a stool with an empty plate and a fork.

‘Tao didn’t leave his room?’ Kris sighed. He placed the small panda on the ground; he stared at the door and placed his ear against it. ‘Tao?’ He heard soft sobbing in the other side. He could only imagine what was happening. Kris was about to knock, but restrained himself from doing so. He slowly backed up and walked away.

When he reached the corner, he heard a click of a door, he quickly hid himself. He peaked to see who it was. His eyes locked at Tao, who opened the door, wiping the tears from his eyes.

‘I’m sorry Tao.’

The nanny looked down to see a panda plush on the floor. He knelt down and picked it up; he examined it and gave it a hug.

Kris slowly smiled, but only to have it fade when he saw more tears fall down. He saw Tao made his way to Xiumin and Chen’s room. The nanny knocked on the door and waited for a bit. Soon, the door opened to reveal a sleepy Xiumin.

“T-Tao? Its…almost 12am…is there something wrong?”

Tao went forward and hugged Xiumin, making the chef slightly jump. He patted the nanny’s back.

“It’s okay Tao.”

The nanny started to shed more tears.

“You want to sleep beside me and Chen?”

Tao slowly nodded making Xiumin chuckle. “You are like a child. Come on, it is past your bed time.” With that, Xiumin led Tao inside and closed the door.

Kris looked down with a sad expression.

‘I made him this way…it’s my fault.’

He left and made his way up the stairs to his room. He closed the door and took of his coat. He glanced at his table and the coffee that Tao brought in was still there.

‘It’s cold now.’
