Adolescence Is Atrocious
Description
Several years ago, gay couple Jonghyun and Key adopted a Canadian-Korean girl named Lauren. Taemin and Minho, their friends, adopted a Korean boy named Yoogeun. Not long after, a baby boy the name of Kyungsan was born to some other friends of theirs Onew and Jessica. Now the three children are teenagers and though they have grown up as friends who simply push each other on swings, make mud-pies and play house together, things inevitably change as time goes on. How will their relationships become complicated as hormones and puberty get in the mix? Who's crushing on who and hiding it? Then, of course, every teenager has their growing pains, parental issues, looming future decisions, and crazy hard exams. These three might not survive their adolescence with their sanity in tact.
This is a sequal to SHINee: the fox and the hound. It's not necessary to read it but as I won't be going over the kids' beginnings nor the past of these parents' complex relationships and how they are all connected, it would be more enjoyable and easy to understand if you read that first. This story will be 100% based off of fictional events and futuristic characters based on real children. I hope you'll keep your mind open and give it a shot even if it doesn't have a lot of Kpop idols making central appearances. You'll still see jongkey/2min/onsica couple moments, I promise. I really wanted to try something totally diferent so please give it a shot!
Disclaimer: There may be rated content, so don't read and then go crying to your parents. I do not own any idols, ulzzangs, or child models in this story or claim any rights to anything besides the fictional representations of their charachters. I do not own the pictures in the posters but they were edited by me. .

Lee Kyungsan-starts the story at 15, various ages throughout. He is not typically good-looking but rather unique, almost foreign in his appearance and style. He's very boisterous, friendly, loves guitar, school, isn't a fan of sports, and is known for acting older than his age. He's a dork in that he picked up a lot of bad habits from his father but people find him very loveable because of it. He makes friends very easily but tends to be more comfortable around girls than boys since boys don't always understand him. Fashion and his hair is almost as important as grades and his noonas.
Their parents: JongKey, 2min and Onsica. All the other characters in F&H potentially will make a cameo appearance depending on their relations to the characters.
Foreword
Ever since Kim Lauren turned 9, she'd hated Valentine's Day for several reasons. For one, every year, her Key umma would stress over what she was wearing to school, making sure she looked extra pretty. It wasn't that the fashion designer didn't have good taste; it was just she really didn't like people making decisions for her, especially in what she wore. He'd also force her to make chocolates for every person they knew which was just exhausting. He wouldn't even let her eat any of them, though she loved nothing more than that sweet sugar melting in . He was always nagging her about her teeth rotting in the future but that's a story for another time.
For another, her Jonghyun appa would always stress over what guys were going to give her chocolates. He'd give her a speal about boys being really mean, nasty creatures until they hit their twenties and how she was supposed to refuse all chocolates, kisses, or 'invitations' from boys unless he would home-school her and put those guys in their place. He'd probably freak if he knew how many boys in her school confessed to her on those days, so she didn't tell him. Jonghyun appa was a famous singer and he had other important things to focus on. She didn't like to stress him out more than he already was as she grew up and showed a slightly rebelious, dare-devil attitude like her umma apparently had when he was younger.
The main reason she didn't like it though was because though it was supposed to be a day of love, her guy friends always seemed to get in fights over her and stop talking to each other. They pressed her to say which one she liked, got in fist fights, threw around harmful words. She was a girl that only liked peace and cheerfulness so when they were fighting because of her she just didn't know what to do to fix it. She felt so incredibly guilty and stressed. This year was probably the worst...because the guys that were fighting were her best friends from babyhood and she kind of had a crush on both of them...
"So who's it going to be, Ren?" Yoogeun asked coolly, clasping his long, gangly arms over his slim, plaid t-shirted chest.
"Yeah, who're you gonna choose, Rennie noona? Who, who?" Kyungsan pushed brightly with a sweet smile and a puppy-dog like expression.
Lauren looked between them nervously with a dramatic turn of her head and her tongue stuck to the roof of . How many years had this been occuring in her mind now, this same conversation, this same battle? She just didn't know who to choose and never had. It had to be one of them. She couldn't have both, right? That wasn't a lady-like thing to do...
"I...I...."
