A few days ago I checked on Zhang Yixing and EXO’s popularity with my sister and when she told me they were pretty popular, I was really glad. 

I’m not that into korean stars but because of Yixing, I’d occasionally take a look at videos and news about EXO-M.

Previously, a few Yixing fans added me on weibo and QQ and proceeded to ask about things related to Yixing, I was pretty curious was to where you found my weibo and QQ and I generally felt like I totally didn’t fit to be a person idolising someone else, or even towards hallyu.

Alright, I’m getting off topic, a few days ago, I wished a friend happy birthday on his weibo and people actually spotted predebut Yixing in the photo so some friends requested for me to talk a little about Yixing, here it goes. 

I had been in the same middle school as Yixing, he was a level higher than me and back then, he joined shows like HunanTV’s “Star Academy” and neglected his studies so he stayed back a year and ended up in the same level as me. 

We weren’t acquainted back in middle school and back then, people used to think he was cocky. In school, he was always walking around with his guitar, a looked too disheveled. That was my impression of him in middle school too. 

Later on, we often played basketball so our initial friendship began on the basketball court. 

After that, he joined the street dance club so our contact with each other gradually increased, of course, the topics we talked about got more common. Back then, we were both into popping. 

However, not long after we got close, he became an SM trainee. He had returned a few times and everytime, he seemed to change, becoming more and more mature, and the first few times he returned, he told us, “you must work hard, this route of mine is really challenging but I haven’t got a choice to retreat.” 

However, the next few times he returned, his complaints got lesser and it felt like he had gotten used to the whole new life there. At times, we would talk on the phone and he would tell me some life situations or things in the company but I’ve forgotten everything so please forgive me…….

As his friend, seeing the amount of support he is receiving now, I am happy and I hope he will become more and more popular. 

Yixing’s seemed to have a pretty hard time at SM, he told me that he was often the first to enter the dance studio and the last to leave, he woke up at almost 7 everyday and would return home only at 12 midnight. In every call, he would talk about the improvements he made in dancing and would talk about the promotions from once class to another, in the end, he finally worked hard and got into A class, he told me that it was the best dance class in SM.

In the period he trained, he returned a few times when I was in year 2 of high school, I met with difficulties in the dance club then and coincidentally he had returned so I choreographed a dance with him and during the performance that day, under the shouting of some friends, I danced nobody with him…………..

I have no idea what else to say but I feel like you know more than myself about Yixing and I’m also unsure as to whether the things I know can be said, because their company appears to be rather psychotic to me…

My most recent phone call with him happened when History was released, through the call, he asked if I saw any improvements in his dancing and asked for comments, I remembered telling him it was rather good and that he danced better than the rest. He even asked if I couldn’t notice him because of the other members’ charming appearance….. I remembered replying that actually amongst the others, I only noticed you, and that I forgot the others at a glance… (the other members, please do not be offended, I am just really uninterested in korean stars…) 

Anyways, I just hope that everyone can continue to support Yixing and I hope that you will not support him only because of his looks because if you’re supporting him because of his dancing and singing, he would be extra delightful, that I can promise~ And moreover, I feel like if you’re liking a person based on his looks, this admiration won’t last too long. People grow tired of charming appearances too~ So everyone, please do take note of Yixing’s personalities and talents~~

It seems like a lot of his fans are still students, and I hope everyone won’t neglect their studies because of the idolizing~ If everyone works hard and enters mine and Yixing’s school, won’t that be more powerful? Friends who fit the cut should totally work hard and join our high school~ is actually a pretty top high school nationally~ Hahaha~

Oh right! One more thing, the secret on whether Yixing had underwent plastic surgery! Many people feel that the him in Star Academy seemed a little different from him now, but I would like to ask a question, when you compare yourself now to a photo of yourself at 12, do you look exactly the same? Some said Yixing seemed to have a round face back then but he now has a sharp one instead.. To be honest, if everyone consumes only one meal a day, control your diet and dance from 7am to 12am midnight, you would lose as much weight too~
