I love Music

 

“Detention! Detention! Always detention! But anyway you are the one who always covering up for people.” I mumbled to myself, while sweeping the floor. I was trying to think of something to write the lyric of the song. Anyway no one knows that I could compose songs or write a song except for Hye Kyung.  After finishing my work, I sat on the chair and started writing the lyrics.

Phew….composing a song without a piano is really tough I think I need Hye-kyung to help me with this. Oh-no…I better get back soon or else my brother Ryeo-wook will find out that I got detention again and I need to get back fast to compose the song with Hye-kyung. Actually, we didn’t want to tell our brothers that we know how to sing, dance and composing music. If once they know, we are going to be in trouble.

 

I dashed towards home running like a cheetah. Once I reached home I heard Hye-kyung playing the song that she composed. Hey…it is really nice and soothing. My song is going to have a little rock and I think I need to play the guitar and ask Hye-kyung to help me with the piano.

“I’m back.” I said and Hye-kyung stopped playing the piano.

“You’re back, come on let me play the song that I composed for my solo part.” Hye kyung said, smiling.

“Sure, let me hear it and I’ll try to write the lyrics.”

Hye-kyung began to play the song that she composed. Wow…how can Hye-kyung composed such a nice song. I really want to release one album with her but sadly we are not singers. Anyway, nevermind, we can make our life happier with music. I can’t live without music and also so do, Hye-kyung.

Hye-kyung finished playing her composed music and asked me how is it.

“It’s brilliant, Hye-kyung but it is really short.” I said, smiling at her.

“So what are you going to write? The song will be about what?” Hye-kyung asked me.

“The song will be about friendship since your song is quite short I think we will sing it twice but is it a great idea?” I asked Hye-kyung, who was trying to play her song over again.

“It’s totally cool. I’ll be waiting for the lyrics LeeAnn. By the way, where is your solo song?” she asked, looking at me.

“Erm…it is here. Do you want me to sing it?” I told Hye-kyung, taking out the paper.

“BWOH?! You can even write the lyrics without even using the piano?” Hye Kyung said, looking at me with hung open.

“Emm….geudae…but it is totally tough without music.” I said, taking out my favourite white guitar.

“Okay, now let me hear it.”

“Okay, here is my song “I love You” Hope you like it.”

 

I started strumming the guitar while singing the song with my strong voice.  A few minutes later, I ended my song with I love you. Hye-kyung clapped when I ended while I was so confused. ‘Hye-kyung likes this song? I don’t think my song is nice. Is it nice?’ I thought, asking this question in my heart.

“LeeAnn, this song is really awesome. I think we need to work together because I need to play the song for you right?” Hye-kyung said, smiling happily.

“Yup indeed you need but we will do it tomorrow after school in our school music room. I’ll work on your song lyrics and tomorrow we will sing it.” I said, feeling excited.

We both heard our brothers footsteps.

“LeeAnn ah,  I think you need to keep away your precious white guitar or else your brother will know that you take guitar lessons without him knowing.” Hye-kyung ordered, warning me. I quickly put my guitar back into my secret place where I put my precious flute and violin.

“We are back.” They all said in unison.

“Welcome back, oppas.” Hye-kyung and I greeted.

“Hey, how’s school today?” Ryeowook oppa asked the both of us while messing up our hair.

“YAH!!! Oppa!! Hye-kyung and I are not kids anymore.” I said, smiling with my eyes closed.

I tried to messed up his hair but failed because he is taller than me. It’s so unfair. Then, I noticed my brother’s left arm has a deep cut.

“Oppa, what’s wrong with your hand?’ I asked feeling worried. Ryeowook oppa heard me asking and he quickly hid his deep cut at the back.

“Ahh…hahaha….it’s nothing actually. I’m okay, don’t worry.” Ryeowook oppa said laughing.

“But that cut is really deep.” I mumbled.

“Don’t worry, nim-dong-saeng, I’m alright. Neh…Hye-kyung ah. Don’t worry about me,okay?” Ryeowook oppa said, looking at Hye-kyung.

“Huh…who wants to be worried about you?” Hye-kyung said, looking another direction.

Hye-kyung and my brother had been boyfriend and girlfriend for two whole months. They are considered childish sometimes.

“LeeAnn, do you have time right now?” Kyuhyun oppa asked.

“Erm…actually I had some work to do. Is it anything important?” I said, blushing red.

“Oh…it’s not that important anyway.” Kyuhyun oppa said, smiling nervously while starching his head.

Suddenly, cat name Jasper jumped into my arms and started me.

“Haha…Jasper…you are always the one who makes me happy.” I said to my cat while touching him.

Then, he saw Kyuhyun oppa and he jumped into his arms.

“Jasper….” I shouted without noticing there was a soap.

I slipped and fell to the ground. Kyuhyun oppa saw me and he quickly dashed towards me and held me up in a bridal style . He quickly went and put me on my bed.

“Ahh…aish….Ahh…aish…my leg hurts.” I said, touching my leg which is painful.

“Come let me take a look.” Kyuhyun oppa said, taking up my leg to see my sprained ankle.

He went to take the medicine and started to apply it on my ankle. I stared at him helping me to massage my sprained ankle. I felt my heart racing when I felt his gentle touch at my ankle which was painful.  Afterthat, he went out of my room. As I was lying on my bed, I started to think of the lyrics to put into Hye-kyung’s song. What could it be? Hmmm…I don’t know.

A few minutes later, I had figured it out. I took a piece of paper and started writing the lyrics with my favourite purplish pen.

The next day after school, Hye kyung and I stayed back for singing because we don’t want to let people know that we know how to sing and play musical instruments well. I showed Hye kyung the song lyrics that I wrote for her.

“Sugoi…. Sugoi….LeeAnn the words are very meaningful.” Hye kyung said, smiling.

“Come on, let’s start. I will sing my solo song first and then you sing your solo part. I will sing the harmonizing part of your song, okay?”

“Araso.”

We all started to sing without noticing our music teacher was listening to us. We both are so into music that’s why.

A few minutes later, we finished singing and we heard our music teacher clapping.

‘Uh-oh…this isn’t good.’I thought in my heart.

“That’s wonderful kids, I didn’t know that my students are so talented. Girls, I want you to perform tomorrow at the special concert. You can meet Super Junior, SNSD, Shinee and many more.” She said, smiling.

“Seong-sae-nim, I don’t think we are both ready.” I said, shaking my hands to express the word no.

“We will do it seong-sae nim. Just count on both of us. I’ll not let you down.” Hye kyung said, looking serious.

“Hye kyung!” I shouted, staring at her.

“LeeAnn, this is our chance. Don’t tell me you don’t want to let people listen to the song we composed. Come on, LeeAnn be a sport.” She said, patting my back softly.

“But…”

“Seong-sae-nim, we will do it. LeeAnn , no more buts. We will be on stage tomorrow at 8pm sharp. Get it.”

I sighed and I couldn’t help but to listen to Hye kyung. We went back home and got some sleep. We did our practice the next day in school again to avoid our brothers to notice it. We practice for the whole day until evening. We went back home and take a wonderful bath and change into our home clothes.

 

“LeeAnn! Hye Kyung! Are you sure you don’t want to go to our concert with us?” Donghae oppa asked.

“Yeah, where is your support to our boyband?” Cho mi oppa added.

“Not fair, how can you treat us like that?” Henry oppa said, pretending to cry.

“Don’t worry, oppas. We’ll watch you all on TV.” Hye kyung said, smiling.

“Yup, we will watch your performance.So…hwaiting!” I said, making a peace sign to all of them.

“Ah…araso…we need to be off now. Take care of yourself, little girls.” Kyuhyun oppa said, patting our heads while pulling me and kiss my forehead.

Ryeowook oppa repeated the same sentence as Kyuhyun oppa’s and patted us as well pulling Hye kyung and gave her a peek on the cheek. They all went to where their concert was held.

“Yes! Case is cleared. Great acting, Hye kyung.” I said, giving a high five to Hye kyung.

“Come on, we need to dressed up or else we will be late for the concert.” Hye kyung said, taking out her baby blue dress and put it on.

“I’m glad that we put our names HK & LA because it is the way to avoid our brothers to know that we are performing.” I said, smiling while putting on my purplish dress.

“Yeah, is the smart thing to do. Our brothers will get shocked when we started to sing.” Hye kyung said.

“Emm….” I nodded my head with agreement.

After dressing up, we went straight to the concert hall. I mean the backstage. Wow, the place is so huge and even the stage is so big. I could even imagine singing on stage. Suddenly, Hye kyung pulled me to the other side.

“Our brothers and their other members are going to perform right now. Shhh…don’t make any noise because they are passing this way.” Hye kyung whispered.

“Araso….” I whispered back.

We heard people cheering and screaming when our brothers walked out to the stage. How I wish that people will cheer for me like that…oh…shh…shh..they are singing “Sorry Sorry Sorry” now.

 

Haha….you know what Hye kyung and I did. We imitated their voices at the chorus part. “Sorry sorry sorry sorry, nege nege nege nege…..” we sing in unison and we laughed out loud.

Time goes by and the moment that we’ve been waiting for is now. I’m really excited but I’m a bit nervous too.

“Let us welcome HK& LA.” The host called us. We heard cheering and screaming. It is as though as we are a star. It is totally like a dream that has become a reality. Hey….what am I talking about. I better shake this…yikes.

I started to sing my solo part with my strong voice. This is the first time I sang in front of so many people. Guess what I was banging on my guitar I was singing. I told you that my song is a little bit rock. ..haha…anyways I hope that my song will be like by people. After the song, Hye kyung started to sing “Never End” while I played the guitar and harmonize with her at the chorus part.

Hye kyung’s voice was really sweet and I really like to hear her sing.  

Ryeowook oppa, Kyuhyun oppa, Henry oppa, Cho mi oppa, and Dong hae oppa were shocked.

“I can’t believe this, Ryeowook hyung our sisters had kept this secret to themselves.” Kyuhyun oppa said, feeling embarrass.

“How could they treat us like this? We are their brothers and we should know everything.” Ryeowook oppa said, feeling embarrass too.

“They are so busted.” They said in unison because they were really angry with us.

We ended the song and we received a great applause from the people. Then, a small little girl came up on the stage and gave us flowers.

“I want to be just like you unnie.” She said to both of us.

My heart leapt for joy because I never ever experience before I bet Hye kyung is really happy too. Suddenly, a group of reporters came and interviewed both of us and also one of the singing for their company to get our songs released. Wow…I really can’t believe it.

After everything, we went back home. As we reached home, our brothers were waiting for us with their angry look. We wanted to run but they managed to grab us both. What do you expect, our brothers had three more friends to help them.

“LeeAnn, why didn’t you tell me that you are good in singing?” Ryeowook oppa asked, glaring at me.

“And so do you young lady.” Kyuhyun said, glaring at Hye kyung.

Three drops of sweat were on top of Hye kyung head and my head.

“Mianhe….oppas. We really didn’t mean to. Please forgive us.” We cried in unison.

“To tell you the truth you both sing really well.” Cho mi oppa said, making a thumbs up.

“Yup, I agree.” Henry oppa nodded with agreement.

“Me too.” Donghae nodded with agreement too.

“Did both of you composed the song yourself?” Kyuhyun oppa asked.

“Yup, I did the composing and the lyrics of the song ‘I love you’” I said, smiling.

“ And I did the instrumental of the song while LeeAnn wrote the lyrics of the song ‘Never end.’” Hye kyung smiled.

“Next time we need to compose a duet song.”

“Don’t worry about that, Ryeowook and I can teach you.” Donghae said, patting us from the back.

“Honestly , I’m proud to have a sister like you, LeeAnn and I’m proud to have a girlfriend like you Hye kyung.” Ryeowook said, pulling Hye kyung and kissed her on the lips.

“I’m really proud to have a girlfriend like you, LeeAnn.” Kyu hyun oppa said, hugging me tightly and our lips met.

This is the happiest day of my life. All I want to say is “I love Music.”
