CHAPTER 1

 

"Miss Eun Hee, get up please. It's already morning. You will late for your school!," said one of the maids who works at Mr. Yong Kwang Ho mansion while knocking Eun Hee's bedroom door. "Yes! I'm awake now!," answered Eun Hee and get up from her bed quickly.

"So, where are my parents gone?," asked Eun Hee to her personal assistant, Miss Ah Ryung. "I'm sorry, Miss Eun Hee. I forgot to tell you. They went to London early in this morning. They went for a meeting. They will come back to South Korea on another Friday". "What??! No way! I'm alone again?! Why is this life so boring?". "Miss Eun Hee, don't worry. We are here taking care of you while your parents gone for work. Please eat your breakfast first, then we will send you to school".

"Uncle, today I'm a bit late to home. Please pick me at 5 p.m. I have school tuition," excused Eun Hee to his car driver. "Alright, Miss Eun Hee. I will follow your order".

"Hahaha..at last, I got chance to spend those times for shopping with my friends. I don't need to waste my time with doing stupid things at home," whispered Eun Hee by herself.

"Greeting, Mrs. Jung Hae. Sorry, I'm late again". "Eun Hee, this is your 2nd time being late to school! If you're late again, I will write you a warning letter. Now, sit at your place!"."I'm sorry, teacher. I'm really really sorry". "Alright, your apologize accepted".

"Class, today I want to introduce you a new student. He was from United States and just move to here a week ago. Now right here, I introduce you Kim Dong Ho. Please give him applause," introduced Mrs. Jung Hae to her students. "Dong Ho, now please introduce a little about you". "Hi, everyone! My name is Kim Dong Ho. I came from Chicago, United States and I really want to make friends with all of you," said Dong Ho who keeps smile when he introducing himself. "Wow, he is so cute and friendly. I wish I could be his girlfriend someday," said the girls boisterously. "Eun Hee-ah, don't you find he is too cute?," asked her close friend, Yeon Ae. "I don't know", answered Eun Hee blushly.

"Kim Dong Ho, you may sit beside Eun Hee. There is an empty chair beside her", said Mrs. Jung Hae. "Oh my! This can't be happen! This is not fair for us. Eun Hee always gets whatever she wants. We are sicked with her", said the girls in the classroom noisily and jelously. "Hi, my name is Dong Ho. And you must be Eun Hee, right?". "Ehh, how do you know?". "Hehehe...the teacher called your name just now". "Oh, alright. You were making me freaking shock. Hahaha... greetings introduction," answered Eun Hee and winks her eye.

Dong Ho suddenly feel uncomfort about him. His heart was pounding. He was tempted to Eun Hee's charm eye wink. Then, he felt awkward to talk to Eun Hee. "Dong Ho, why are you silent since just now?". "Nothing. I just... just..".before he couldn't finish his wording, suddenly Eun Hee  interrupted him. "Just what?? Dong Ho why your teeth are shivering?"."Oh, I'm cold. I forgot to bring my sweater. I can't stand to very cold temperature". "Oh, I see. Do you want to borrow my sweater? I can give it to you". "Hahaha...no need. Anyway, I don't want to inconvenient you". "Dong Ho, I'm okay. I don't need to wear this sweater. Now, what is the most important is about your health. I don't want you to get sick," said Eun Hee while putting on her sweater for Dong Ho. "Get well soon, Dong Ho," said Eun Hee again and wink her eye.

"Why Eun Hee is too kind to me? I never met a girl as nice as her. She is so caring about me," whispered Dong Ho and smiling happily.

Baek In Su, Eun Hee's secret admirer, only able to watch Eun Hee and Dong Ho's closeness from his far. He just wait what is going to happen on next. He could still withstand his patience.

CHAPTER 2

 

"Kringgg...," the school bell ringing signed of end of school hours for today. "Dong Ho, do you want to follow me to somewhere?," asked Eun Hee. "Sure. Where are going to?," answered Dong Ho and gets butterflies in his stomach." I thought of going for a shopping. I had asked a few of my friends but they are busy and decided to decline my invitation. So, I just ask you to go out with me then". "Re..really? hurrmm.. al..alright then," answered Dong Ho nervously.

" Is this date or somewhat? I never go out with any girls before this although I have befriended to a lot of girls. Today must be my lucky day.  Thanks God!," whispered Dong Ho by himself happily. "Dong Ho! Oh, Dong Ho! Are you day dreaming? You nearly hit a big tree. Fortunately, you didn't hit the tree". "Huh? Am I? Sorry I must be day dreaming just now". " Are you tired? You seems tired. Let's have a sit first on that bench".

"Dong Ho, actually what is going on with you? You can share your problem with me if you like. I'll listen everything," asked Eun Hee and holding both of Dong Ho's hand. Dong Ho shocked and wide-open his eyes. His heart starts to pound. " I...I..I.. Actually I never go out with girls since I lived in Chicago. This is my first time going out wit a girl. That's why I feel awkward with you and uncomfort about myself," honest Dong Ho. " Hahaha... what? you like me?", joke Eun Hee. Dong Ho wide-open his eyes again and his heart begins to pound again after listening to Eun Hee's joke.

"Eun Hee-ah, let's continue our walking to the mall. I can't wait to see what's there," said Dong Ho who is trying to change the Eun Hee's topic.

"Wow, this shopping complex is so big. Oh, look! There are a lot of outlets available," thrilled Dong Ho. " But shopping malls in Chicago must be more large than here, right?," asked Eun Hee. "Absolutely, they are large than this mall but here have a lot of outlets compare to in Chicago," replied Dong Ho.

"That is my personal asisstant, Miss Ah Ryung and my bodyguards. Quick, find a hide place!," hide Eun Hee and Dong Ho behind the wall. "Wow?! What? You have personal assistant and bodyguards? You must be come from rich family," surprised Dong Ho. "That's right. My family owns the Welcomeland Hotel". " Oh, I get it. The famous five-star hotel around the world, right?". "Yes. But you don't know how hard is my life. I never feel free to hang out with my friends. They always keep an eye on me," said Eun Hee.

" Sir, are you looking for young Miss Eun Hee? Actually she is here and you can see her bag. She is hiding behind the wall with a GUY!," tell In Su to one of the bodyguards. "Eun Hee, your bag! Don't let them see your bag. Please forward-looking at me", said Dong Ho. "Miss Ah Ryung, just now a friend of Miss Eun Hee confirmed that she is here. She hide behind the wall," reported the bodyguard to Ah Ryung. " Let's get her then," ordered Ah Ryung to the bodyguards.

" Hahaha... dead you, new guy," said In Su smiled sarcastically.

" Eun Hee, they are coming towards us! Let's run!," ran Eun Hee and Dong Ho with their hands holding.

"Huhhh..huhh..huhh... we were able to escape from them. I think we're running far away from them," said Dong Ho in exhausted."Dong Ho, can I stay at your house untill this Friday?". "Why?". "I'm afraid they will give me a punishment while my parents are not here. They can't punish me if my parents are here because I will deny my fault. I beg you, please," beg Eun Hee with puppy face "What kind of punishment they will giving to you? Are they are serious punishment," asked Dong Ho. "Depends. Whether they will ask me to clean the whole house or ask me to go to school on foot". "Poor you. Alright then. You can stay at my house untill this Friday," answered Dong Ho. He is unwilling to see Eun Hee in trouble because he loves Eun Hee wholeheartedly.

CHAPTER 3

 

"Are you live alone here, Dong Ho?". "No. I lives here with my parents. They back to Chicago to manage their Chinese cuisine restaurant. They will transfer their restaurant here another 2 months," explained Dong Ho. "Well, I see. Your family also runs business like mine. Where are your siblings?," asked Eun Hee. "Siblings??? I don't have any of them. I'm an only child". " Your life must be boring, right? Because no one wants to play with you". "Not really. I often spend my time playing my XBOX 360". " You must be an expert gamer. Do you want to battle games with me?". "Sure. Playing video games are very easy to me," answered Dong Ho.

They play the video games for a long moment. Eun Hee who always wins the game makes Dong Ho gives up to play again. "Alright, you win. I admit your greatness in playing video games, Master Eun Hee," gave up Dong Ho. " Don't be upset. Next time, I will give you a chance to bet me," persuaded Eun Hee to Dong Ho. " Anything at all, you're very awesome in gaming. I know I will lose again", praised Dong Ho. " No, I'm not," denied Eun Hee blushly.

"Hey, where is that cockroach came from? Keep it away from me", screamed Eun Hee. " Don't be afraid. I will kill it immediately", helped Dong Ho.

Eun Hee climbed and walked around the table uneasily. Out of blue, she misstepped on the edge of table and almost fall from the table. Fortunately, Dong Ho gets her. They stares at each other. Their heart starts to beat blustery. Eun Hee feels different from usual. " Am I like Dong Ho?", whispered Eun Hee.

"Dong Ho, what will we have on dinner? I'm starving. Dinner time draws near," asked Eun Hee to Dong Ho who is watching television with her. " I don't know. I don't have any idea. Can you cook?". "Hurrmm... I'm sorry I can't cook. I don't know. How about if we just eat ramen? As I know, it is the easiest cooking and saved time," embrassed Eun Hee. " Well, I can cook anything better than ramen. How about spaghetti?," opinioned Dong Ho. "Wow! I like it!," excited Eun Hee.

"How's my spaghetti? Is it delicious?", wondered Dong Ho to Eun Hee. "Hmmm... it taste very delicious. I really like your cook. Next time cook it again for me, okay?," praised Eun Hee. " She praised my cooking? This is why makes me like her more <3," whispered Dong Ho and got butterflies in his stomach. " Dong Ho, I'm going to sleep. I'm sleepy now. Good night and .... have a nice dream," said Eun Hee and walked to upstairs. "Good night too".

That night, Eun Hee can't sleep well. Her mind restless. She doesn't know what is she thinking about. She keep thinking about her bed lamp at her mansion so she can sleep since Eun Hee is afraid of dark. She also thinks about the evening incident about Dong Ho got her from getting fell from the table and her heart started to pound. She looks at the wall clock and it shows 3 o'clock in the morning. Her mind becomes more restless.

She went to Dong Ho's room and asked him permit to sleep at his room. " Dong Ho, can I sleep at your room? I can't sleep calmly. My mind restless," said Eun Hee. "Sure. But I will sleep on the floor. You sleep on my bed," sacrificed Dong Ho. " Dong Ho, weren't you can't stand of cold temperature? The floors are too cold for you and I don't want you to be sick again". "No problem. I am able to stand with cold temperature. Look I'm fully healthy, right? !", pretended Dong Ho. "No! You look sick. Why your face look pale? You must be switch the air-conditioner to the lowest temperature, right? Let me see", Eun Hee grabbed the air-conditioner remote next to Dong Ho's bedside table. "Look! How didn't you easily get sick? You switch the air-con into 18 celsius. Oh God, you must be having a fever", Eun Hee quickly put her back palm to Dong Ho's forehead and start to nag like an old grandma. Dong Ho started to big-opened his round eyes and his heart pounding again. "Eun Hee, enough! Don't make yourself too worry about me. I'm okay. If you find it is so complicated to find a place to sleep in my room, just sleep beside me. I really don't care as long you will not get ill. Because....", Dong Ho nearly overshoot with his words. "Because of what?", asked Eun Hee. "Hehehe...nothing. Because you're my friend and you're too nice to me. Thank you", Lied Dong Ho to cover his words. "I'm the one who should thank you because you gave me some space for me to sleep", joke Eun Hee. "Yeahhh", answered Dong Ho.

"Eun Hee, I know you aren't sleep yet, right? I can read your heart. Don't worry about me. I'm fine here as long as I still breath with the air that given by God. Sleep tight, Eun Hee. These are 3 words for you, I. Love. You", whispered Dong Ho to himself and immediately close his eyes. "Dong Ho, actually I have feeling towards you but I don't know untill when I will keep it secret. But I really want you to know about this hidden feeling. I really want you to be mine and I'm afraid if there's anyone want to steal you from me. Since I leave here for 3 days, I feel more comfortable with you compare to my family. Without you, I feel myself like a dead and no purpose of living. I want to live with you!", whispered Eun Hee to herself and begin to close her eyes and dripping a tear.

"Dong Ho, I think I need to go home. I have been a week in your house. I'm afraid if my P.A and my bodyguards will make a police report. Sorry for making mess in your house. By the way, thanks for taking care of me. I will see you again on tomorrow school", said Eun Hee waving her hand to Dong Ho and go to her home after having a breakfast.

CHAPTER 4

"What other plans should I do to approach Eun Hee? I have always been the same class with her for 2 years but I still can't talk to her. That new kid only took 5 months to approach her. I'm really stupid. Just wait and see I   kid! this is only a new game for you. You're too new in this school and don't even know what is happened around you. I bet you can't have Eun Hee cause I'll be the first to attract her attention. Just wait and see, you rascal new kid!", whispered In Su to himself in his dark mysterious room filled with a lot of old thick books on bookshelves while overturned his sand clcock which used to be his favorite item.

"Ting tong", Eun Hee pressed the ring bell. " Dong Ho! it's me Eun Hee. I'm going to send you to school", she entered to Dong Ho house. "Dong Ho, wake up! It's already morning. We're going to school". " What? Mung Mung, do you miss me?", Dong Ho talks in sleep nonsensely. "Mung Mung?", qustioned Eun Hee. "Let me hug you Mung Mung", Dong Ho hugs Eun Hee. "Dong Ho! I'm Eun Hee not Mung Mung", Eun Hee shocked of getting hug by Dong Ho. "Wow, I can feel his abs. I thought he was girlish because he likes to do houseworks and talks a lot to girls than guys", whispered Eun Hee. "Mung Mung, you want me to kiss you? I miss your smell of bubble scent". "No, Dong Ho! Don't kiss me!", Eun Hee screamed to him as he started to spout his lips and nearly kiss Eun Hee's cheek. "Eun...Eun Hee? What are you doing here?", Dong Ho shocked and big his eyes. His heart palpitate very fast as same as Eun Hee. Their eyes gazing deeply on each other."I'm trying to wake up you to school but you're not listening to me. You have such a horrible nightmare and you're going to..., oh, just forget what is going to happen". " Really? I nearly kissing you", said Dong Ho. Eun Hee big her eyes signify as she is embrrassed of what is happened."I dreamt of my childhood cat named Mung Mung. But now she had left me". "Oh, I see. Don't be sad. I believe one day you will meet any cats that are nice as Mung Mung".

" Eun Hee, I thought you're have a ride on your limo". "Nah. I don't feel to have a ride on my limo today. I feel comfort on walking. So, everyday you walk to school?". "Not really. I usually take a ride on a bus.But for a temporary while my parents are not around".

"I'm sorry, Mrs. Jung Hae. I'm late". "Well, Eun Hee. You have promised me that you won't late after this. This is your 3rd time late to school. You're going to stay at detention class right after school. Plus, with your first warning letter", scolded Mrs. Jung Hae. "I'm sorry, Mrs. Jung Hae. All of this is my fault. Eun Hee tried to wake me up but I'm still dreaming. Don't scold her", Dong Ho tried to defend Eun Hee. "Dong Ho, careful of what you're saying", whispered Eun Hee to Dong Ho. "What both of you up to in a house? Are you staying together? A guy and a girl can't be mix in a house. Both of you are blamed. I have to report to the principal". "Mrs. Jung Hae!". Mrs. Jung Hae walked outside the class to the principal room. Whole the class started to gossip about Eun Hee and Dong Ho's relation.  "Seems like Mrs. Jung Hae misunderstanding of us", said Eun Hee to Dong Ho.

This is so outrageously! I really can't stand of him anymore!", In Su grasps his knuckle. He proceed from his place and walk to the front.

"This will teach you a lesson!", In Su punched to Dong Ho's left cheek. "Hey! what's the matter with you?", puzzled Dong Ho. In Su won't answer and walk out from his class.

"Are you okay Dong Ho? I'm so worry of you. Your cheek seems swollen.  Let me treat you", helped Eun Hee and treat Dong Ho with a pack of ice. "Dong Ho, can you lay down? I'm difficult on treating your swollen cheek", said Eun Hee and pat her laps. " Don't you mind of being lay on your laps? I'm awkward. Plus, you wear pleated mini dress. And this make me more awkward. "I really don't mind. Quick, lay down". "Is it fine to lay on her laps?  She have such a wonderful flawless laps and they are really smooth", whispered Dong Ho. "Eheem... what are you thinking, right now?". "Nothing, just hoping when my parents will come back to Korea. Eun Hee, what's wrong with the guy who punched me?". "Oh. I don't know what is going on with him but he always stares at me. He is a bit mysterious. He doesn't have a lot of friends and he always alone". "He might likes you", teased Dong Ho. "Oh my please! Don't say he likes me. I never want that to be happen".

"Eun Hee, thank you for treating my swollen face. If there is no you, the swollen must be more worse", thanked Dong Ho. "No problem". "Eun Hee, why are you so nice to me? Since I be your friend, you always be with me. We're like best friend although we just met not long time ago. "Time go so fast. I really don't remember how we met at first". "How come you forget, Eun Hee?". "Absolutely I remember. Where you were chiling and shivering your body that time you got fever. How cute!", smiled Eun Hee and look at Dong Ho. Dong Ho deeply stares into Eun Hee innocent eyes and his heart pounding non-stop. "Dong Ho, what's wrong? Why your face suddenly pale? And you shivering your teeth? Are you having fever again?". " Here, I give you my wool sweater. It will warmth your body", asked Eun Hee in curious and covered Dong Ho's back with her sweater. Dong Ho speechless.

Eun Hee guided Dong Ho to his home. He isn't feeling well. Mrs. Jung Hae allowed Dong Ho to go home due to his high fever. 

"Eun Hee, please go home", said Dong Ho laying on his bed in weakness voice. "But... I can't leave you while you're sick. I don't want anything happen on you", stricted Eun Hee. "No, Eun Hee. You have to go home. I'm afraid that you will be scolded by your parents again like a few months ago till you didn't come to school for 2 weeks", begged Dong Ho. "Alright. If there is anything, please contact me. Take care". 

Half an hour past, Eun Hee still not moving from Dong Ho's house. She didn't go home. The wall clock showed 9 P.M. Eun Hee not willing to leave Dong Ho. She walked at the living room and waited Dong Ho to fall asleep. 

Eun Hee wiped Dong Ho's forehead cautiously with a wet cloth to reduce his fever temperature. She don't want to awake him. She ensured that no water dripping on Dong Ho's eyes and ears. "Dong Ho, I'm going home now although I'm not willing to leave you alone. Because of your request, I decided to go. Take care, my Dong Ho", Eun Hee whispered slowly to sleeping Dong Ho and elapsed from there with a tear.

CHAPTER 5

"Kim Dong Ho... Kim Dong Ho?", called Mrs. Jung Hae who is taking her class attendance. "Where is this boy could be?",questioned Mrs. Jung Hae by herself. "Ermm... never mine. Next...", continued Mrs. Jung Hae on her class attendace.

Eun Hee stared at Dong Ho's place and started to worry,"Where would Dong Ho go? Why he isn't called me since yesterday?". "Dong Ho, where are you? I feel awkward if there's no you. I don't used to be alone". "Mrs. Jung Hae, Excuse myself. Can I go home awhile? I left my Biology and English book. I forgot to put them in my beg. I'm sorry", excused Eun Hee. "Hurry up. There is no time to waste out our class lesson. Next time, cautious of what you're doing", said Mrs. Jung Hae. "Thank you, Mrs. Jung Hae".

"Eun Hee, I'm sorry cause I'm not inform you first. I'm going back to Chicago to visit my parents. Please look after yourself. Don't always keep crying cause it make you look ugly and old. I'm not going to leave you forever. Just took for a week. Have a nice happy holiday - your best friend, DONG HO-", Eun Hee read a notice put by Dong Ho at the front door. "This notice really annoying!", smirked Eun Hee. 

While Eun Hee wanted to go from Dong Ho's house, she saw a red heart-shaped letter been pulled out from the welcome mat. Eun Hee traced the letter on her chest with a wide smile. "To the most precious girl that I love", Eun Hee read and giggled. " Actually, I always staring at you since the first time. I always keep thinking of you. You're the one who made my days. I really want to confess my feeling towards you but I'm too scared cause it is too early to say. I can feel about your feeling too. I know that you also have a feeling on me but you're just too shy to confess. I love you...", Eun Hee didn't read untill the end yet. The letter carried by the wind. "Hey! come back here!", shouted Eun Hee. "Hurmm...wonder who is he wrote that letter to? Maybe the person isn't me. What a brokenheart".

"Eun Hee, why you look sorrowful, today? Just now, you're alright", asked Mrs. Jung Hae. "Nothing Mrs. Jung Hae. I just can't get enough of sleep". "Oh, I'm sorry for you. But you got a lot of works for school. No break for you, now".

"Can I sit here?", Eun Hee hold a tray of ramen noodle and asked eating In Su at the cafeteria. In Su keep silence and won't answer. "Never mine, looks like I decided to eat on the floor". "Who prevent you? I didn't say that you should eat on the floor", In Su answered in cocky. "Hurmm, okay. Thanks".

"Where is that  your nuisance feminine boyfriend?", asked In Su keep eating his lunch without turning his head to anyone. "He is in his holidays", answered Eun Hee politely. "What a lazy rotten brat", replied In Su rudely. "Why were you punched Dong Ho, yesterday?". "I just don't like gay stuff. Staying both in a house with unofficial marriage of a guy and a girl? Doesn't it sounds like indecent. Yucckss!". "We know both of us were wrong. But we're not deliberate of what is going on", explained Eun Hee. "I'm not going to listen to your sad and long explaination. All have been proved. Wasting out my time!", In Su move from there.

"Psst... In Su", whispered Eun Hee to In Su who sat at the back of the class alone. In Su keep silence and doesn't answer. Eun Hee went to In Su desk without Mrs. Jung Hae knowledge. "What's wrong with you?! Why are you pissing me all the time? Can't you sit properly, fool?!", angered In Su. "I just want to borrow a pen of yours. My pen's ink dried out". "Take this one. Don't ever return it to me. I hate a lot of pens in my pencil case!", In Su gave his pen to Eun Hee. "Thank you", answered Eun Hee.

"All right students, choose your pair. We're going to play some mini sports. Which group who is success to finish the game first, a grand prize will be yours", instructed Mr, Seok Guk. "In Su...". "What again? Stop bothering me!", reprimanded In Su. "I don't have partner for P.E, so can you join me?", persuaded Eun Hee. " Okay Fine. Today only", said Mr. Seok Guk.

"Auwww...I sprained my leg", screamed Eun Hee. "What? Really?! Seems that your game need to be cancel. I'm going to send you to the health room", shocked Mr. Seok Guk. "Let me bring you to the health room. Go up on my back", said In Su while piggyback Eun Hee.

"So, doctor, is she fine?", asked In Su worry. "Yes, she's okay now. You can look her", answered the doctor.

"Eun Hee! Are you alright?", asked In Su anxiously. "Chill down, In Su. I'm alright, now. Why are you so worry about me?". "Who is worrying about you? I just want to ask your news", In Su pretend not admitted. "Are you sure? I can read from your eyes", Eun Heec purposely play around with In Su. "I said I don't, so it is not. Who miss you anyway". "In Su, he really has the same similarity like Dong Ho. His caring reminds me to Dong Ho. Dong Ho, I miss you", whispered Eun Hee with a tear. "Why are you crying?". "No. I'm not. I just got sand on my eyes. I'm fine".

"Do you sprained your leg again? I can piggyback you", asked In Su. "No need. I can walk by myself. See". Eun Hee then tries to walk. "Eun Hee! Are you okay? You seem can't walk well...", Eun Hee accidentally fall on In Su. In Su's heart started to pound quickly. He was nearly kissing Eun Hee on the lips. Eun Hee looked him weirdly. "What's wrong In Su? Are you okay? I'm sorry. I didn't mean it". "It's okay. At least, you're unhurt".

A week had past, Dong Ho has comeback from Chicago. Eun Hee waited Dong Ho's homecoming at his house. "Dong Ho, how is your holiday? Have you buy me gifts?". "Oh this unshameless girl. Hehehe... absolutely I bought gifts for you".

"So, how's your a week life without me? Who are you befriended too?", asked Dong Ho. "Why do you really want to know?". "Just asking. Who knows you can make other friends besides than me". "I befriended with In Su", smiled Eun Hee to Dong Ho. "What? That hot-tempered guy? How come?", jealous Dong Ho. "Just simple. Although he is hot-tempered, snobby and a bit rude, but he is a caring. He always reminds me to you". "Are you miss me?". Eun Hee started to cry and replied in tears,"Definitely. I really miss you. My own best friend". "Eun Hee, don't cry. I didn't do any wrong'.
