Chapter 56: Losing but winning

It's been four months after the basketball finals. Everything had been smooth for Taemin and Mina. Their moms are really thrilled that they are together especially Taemin's mom. She admitted to Mina they wanted them to get together that's why they kept on making excuses for them to see each other at school.

Taemin always make Mina feel loved. He said he's making up for all the tears she cried for him. He always hold her hand, tells her sweet nothings just to make her smile, gives her little presents or bringing her flowers just because. He loves to tickle her the most and plays with her hair. He calls her for no reason at all but say I love you. And he lets her take pictures of him. Even if sometimes Mina likes the stolen shots. He just tells her not to show it to his hyungs.

Mina knows she's lucky to have Taemin after all he's her dream come true. He's everything she wants. She wakes up each day with a smile knowing Taemin is waiting for her.

"You look beautiful", Taemin whispers to Mina for the nth time this evening.They are at Onew house for his birthday party. It's a costume party and Onew invited a lot of people all dressed up. Jonghyun came as Spiderman and Minho as Wolverine. Key came as Santa Claus, Yuri as mother hen, much to Onew's delight. They lost in a bet with Onew they had no choice but wear the costumes.

"You always say that", replied Mina.

"Because it's true", said Taemin. Key wanted them to go as batman and catwoman but Taemin refuse. Onew suggested Mina can go as wonderwoman then Taemin said they would not go anymore. So Minho said they can go as Peter Pan and Tinkerbell and Taemin agreed at last.

"You're no fun at all Taemin", said Key. "It would have been awesome if Mina came as wonderwoman. Look at me and Yuri".

"You lost the bet hyung", Taemin answered with a chuckle.

Mina half listened to them talking. She saw Onew taking pictures of Yuri while her bestfriend playfully strikes a pose. Jonghyun was just watching them not showing any expression on his. She's glad Taemin's hyung are all nice even Jonghyun they still go to their group dates watching movies sometimes just going to theme parks. Taemin says they just like to bother them but she likes being with them and Yuri tags along too.

Just last night Taemin told her a lot about herself that she does not even know. It scares her sometimes how Taemin know a lot about her already, her strenghts, her likes, dislikes and weaknesses. When she asked him about his weakness he just smiled at her and said nothing.

"I'm just gonna go rescue Yuri", said Key. Onew had just requested for Yuri to do a chicken split. Whatever that is.

"Taemin, you still haven't answered my question", Mina said as Taemin watched Key pulled Yuri away from Onew.

"What question?", Taemin asked and looked at his girlfriend. He likes the thought of her being his girlfriend.

"What's your weakness?", Mina said, Taemin took her hand and kiss the back of it. He lowered his head aiming for a kiss but Mina stopped him. "You can't get away with a kiss again."

"Remember the day I helped you with the posters?", asked Taemin not letting go of Mina's hand. "I heard two girls talking about you and saw you struggling with the posters. I actually wanted to leave then but I saw your face and something tells me I have to protect you. My hyungs really know how to play the game with me since they thought of the bet and the auction. I knew I couldn't leave you there. Not like that when you were wearing the dress Key hyung chose." Mina tried not to laugh, she remembered Key's face at that time. "You still don't know my weakness?"

"Why don't you tell me", said Mina.

"Well isn't it obvious? It's you", said Taemin. And he finally got his kiss this time Mina initiated it.

"Yah love birds!", they heard Key calling them. "Stop the love scenes, let's eat first".

Taemin glared at Key for disturbing their moment but Key did not even notice it. He's glad he made the bet with his hyungs and he was happy he lost. He won Mina's heart because of the bet.
