MINA'S POV
"Hey good morning", I greeted Dongho.
"Good morning", he greeted back smiling.
"Why are you here?', I asked him.
"I wanted to surprise you, but I guess no one's home...?", he smiled at me. I just smiled back at him. "Oh I have something for you", he said then went to his car which was parked not far from us. He brought me flowers.
"Thanks", I said smiling when he handed me the flowers.
"Do you like it?', he asked.
"Of course, I love it", I replied and smelled the pink roses.
"Do you have plans today?", he asked. I shook my head and he told me he'd like to spend the day with me so I said I will. He already planned everything. We went to the zoo first. I told him before I want to go back to the zoo since the last time I 'd been to one was when I was 8 years old. I had fun with Dongho, it turns out he knows a lot about animals since his uncle is a vet. He also owns a dog and two cats. After the zoo we went to a nature park, he brought food with him so we ate beside a lake. The weather was good and few people were there mostly families with little kids.
"Mina, I'm willing to wait forever for you", he said out of the blue. I didn't answer, I couldn't answer him.
"Hey, do youwannago somewhere else?", he said after a few seconds of silence. "Come on", he pulled me and we got into his car. I didn't know he'd drag me to go ice skating.
"Dongho I'm not really good with this", I told him.
"It's ok. You'll be fine, I'm here. I'll teach you", he said and gave me a reassuring smile. He said it like Taemin but it did not feel the same. I'm not an athletic person and I'm not planning to be one ever. We spent like an hour and still I haven't learned anything.
"Sorry", I said for the nth time when I ended falling again. I couldn't learn what I didn't like.
Dongho just smiled. "Why are you saying sorry?".
"You've been teaching me patiently for more than an hour now and I still can't stand on my own for more than 5 seconds".
"That's ok. We can try again", he said.
"No, I'm not really cut out for this", I told him.
"That's ok", he said. We left and had dinner at a nearby restaurant. After that he brought me home. I did not tell him I'm staying at Taemin's house.
"So you and Taemin remained friends after", he said when we arrived. We're still on his car.
"Yeah so were the others and I", I told him.
"I know it's none of my business and you'd probably get mad at me after but I really have to ask this", he said.
"What is it?", I asked getting curious.
"Do you like Taemin?".
"What do you mean? Of course I like him, he's my friend", I answered.
"You know what I mean Mina. Do you like him more than just a friend?", he was looking straight into my eyes and I couldn't look away. Even if I say no he'd know the truth anyways I think he already knows the truth. He just wanted to hear them from me.
"Yes", I answered not looking away. "I like him".
"Do you love him?", he asked still. I nodded this time. "Are you in love with him?".
"Yes, I do love him. I'm in love with him but he doesn't feel the same way".
"Did he tell you that?"
"He has Ji Eun now and he's happy with her. He'd been waiting for her. He loved her for so long now, since they were kids. I can't beat that". I said.
'Love is not made by time Mina, it's made with the person whom you spent the time with", Dongho said.
"Why are you saying this?".
"Because I want you to know that I can wait for you until you're ready. I want you to know that even if you love him I can love more. I want you to understand that me knowing you love Taemin doesn't change the way I feel for you. I swear Mina, I love you more than you'll ever know", he said.
His sincerity and honesty brought tears to my eyes. I don't deserve him and I don't deserve his love.
"Hey don't cry", he said drying my tears which only made me cry harder. "Come here", he said and hugged me.
"I'm sorry I got your shirt wet", I told him when the tears ran out.
'It's ok',he said smiling at me then he kissed me on the cheek. We said goodnight and Dongho drove off leaving me standing outside our house. I was about to open the gate when someone grab my arm.
"I thought you were with Yuri", I met Taemin's eyes his hand gripping my arm.
