MINA'S POV
My eyes widened in surprise when I heard him say that. Taemin likes me just the way I am. He likes me like a friend or as a girl? What does it mean? Is there a hope for us? Yuri said if I had the chance I must take it with no questions asked.
Will I be able to take the consequences?
"Taemin...", I need to say this before I lose my confidence. "I like you".
He smiled. "I know, you said that before. I like you too".
"No you don't understand. I like you. I really like you".
Taemin just looked at me his smile gone. "Mina..."
"I think I'm in love with you already. I've liked you ever since I don't know. I just want you to know that Taemin. I'm not asking you to like me back the way I do. I just need to get this out".
Silence followed, Taemin just stared at me but he still held my hand. It's like forever before he spoke.
"Mina - ", he only got that far because someone called us.
"There you are!", Ji Eun said running towards usd. "Everything ok?"
"Uhm, yes", came Taemin's reply and let go of my hand.
"Oh am I interrupting something?".
"No, of course not", Taemin said not looking at me. Ji Eun looked from Taemin to me.
"We should go back now", Ji Eun said. "Come on", she pulled Taemin leaving me behind to follow. We continued eating but I already lost my appetite. The clock is ticking for me. Did I make the right choice in telling Taemin I like him?
"Mina are you ok?", Key asked.
"Yes, of course I am", I smiled at him. Then I heard music someone must have turned it on.
"Isn't that our favorite song?", Ji Eun said to Taemin who just smiled at her. "Great! Come on let's dance!", she pulled Taemin up a few feet away from us and they dance like they were the only ones there. The music was slow and sweet but it's like killing me.
"Ah, hey Mina. Let's dance too", Key said offering his hand. I just look at it. "Hey come", he said and drag me out of my seat. Great! So now I can see them closer. It's killing me more! I saw Onew asking Yuri to dance and she declined at first but like Key he dragged Yuri leaving her no choice.
"Mina, we did not know she's coming too", Key said looking apologetic.
"It's ok, thanks for helping me all the way Key", I told him.
"Hey what are friend for right?", Key said smiling somehow it made me smile too. "But we wanted this to be a special night for you and Taemin".
"I know. I'll never forget this night!", I said.
"Don't worry, let me handle this", he said then led us near to where Ji Eun and Taemin were. I could not help but notice how close their bodies are. "Hey buddy why not we switch partners? Mina's killing my feet", I heard Key said while he tapped Taemin on the shoulder. He did not wait for their reply he grab Ji Eun's hand and push me towards Taemin. I was wearing high heels and I'm not used to them so I lost my balance luckily Taemin caught me in his arms before I make a mess of myself.
"Yah hyung, careful!", he snapped but Key just smirked. He winked at me when Taemin was no longer looking.
"Are you ok?', he asked and steadied me. I just nodded. "Sorry about that. I don't know what got into him", he added then we ended up staring into each other.
"Taemin, you're supposed to dance with her you know. Not stare at her all night", Key shouted.
"I know that aish!", Taemin said then grab both of my hands. "Well...uhm, here we go". He place my hands on his shoulders and encircled my waist with his. Talk about control. My knees are getting weak having him this close to me. I can't even look him in the eye anymore. I remembered our first kiss and my heart started beating fast. I bowed my head so he won't see me blush. Why does my brain reminds me now of these moments?
Taemin pulled me closer, we're not even dancing anymore and seemed like everything stopped for us. We just stood there. He look into my eyes and told me words that would even break my heart more.
"Sorry Mina, I can't love you back".

i can only post one chapter today. i'm kinda lost right now with the story but don't worry i'll update sooner than you think.
when i first started this fic i wanted it to be like 30-40 chapters but now it seems like it's gonna be more than 60 chapters... wahh!!!
i hope you'll continue to read the fic guys, even if it reaches 70 chapters...
