Introduction

            Kwon MinKyung is your average 21 year old girl studying at HwangTae University to become a patisserie. HwangTae is a prestigious school. MinKyung got in with a full scholarship. Ever since she was really young she loved sweets mainly because her family owns a well-known sweets shop that have been passed down by her grandfather. MinKyung’s family isn’t rich but they aren’t poor either. They make enough to survive. MinKyung is a sweet, outgoing girl but don’t judge a book by its cover because she can be really feisty too. Her family always wants to give her all the best so they would buy her all the best quality things and send her to good schools despite how much money they make. Despite her family background, MinKyung is actually really pretty and beautiful. What she hates the most is snobby rich people that looks down on the people of the lower class. She believes that sweets possess a magical power that makes people happy and smile. Yang Yoseob is the 22 year old heir of the Yang Company and International Corporation. His cute and handsome looks are to die for. All of the women in Korea want to marry him or be his fiancée. Ever since he was born, he was spoiled. Even so, he hated it. He hated the fact he was born rich. His fairytale life isn’t at all that merry and happy. To make matters worse, he is forced to marry Heo GaYoon, the heiress to the Heo’s International Corporation and the Heo’s only child.

            MinKyung and Yoseob met one fateful day outside of her family’s store. Yoseob was sitting outside at their store’s bench. To cheer him up, she made him a strawberry mousse cake. It was the best thing he has ever tasted. Even though he has had many strawberry mousse cakes before, this one is different. And so…that marked the beginning of their bittersweet encounter.

            Park EunHee and Jung HaeNi are MinKyung’s best girl friends and ‘sisters’. They are both from wealthy families but they never judged MinKyung of her family’s social status. Jung HaeNi is like an ‘omma’ to MinKyung and EunHee. She is very protective of them. They have been best friends since pre-school. Jung HaeNi and Park EunHee were the only ones that didn’t criticize her or made fun of her social status. Since then they have been as close as ever. Even their family didn’t mind MinKyung and her family’s social status. Jung HaeNi also has a great fashion sense due to the fact that she is majoring in fashion design and merchandising and she came from a family of fashion designers. EunHee is the complete opposite. Because of her ulzzang looks, she has many admirers. Though, HaeNi have a lot also. EunHee can be easily tricked and played by guys because of her personality. She hasn’t accepted anyone or gave her heart to anyone since her first boyfriend and love.

            Yoo SeungHo is MinKyung’s best guy friend. He is also best friends with EunHee and HaeNi. SeungHo and MinKyung met when they were in elementary school. SeungHo have loved her since although MinKyung is oblivious to his feelings. EunHee and HaeNi know of SeungHo’s feelings for MinKyung but don’t say anything about it. He is also very wealthy. He would do anything to protect and help MinKyung. He would never do anything to hurt her and would hurt anyone that does with no mercy.

            Then there is Yoseob’s best friends­−Yoon DuJun, Lee KiKwang, Yong JunHyung, Son DongWoon, and Jang HyunSeung. Lee KiKwang and Yong JunHyung are the playboys and Casanovas in the group. They have never been in any serious relationships. Yoon DuJun is like the ‘father’ of the group. DuJun is usually the peacemaker due to his fatherly role.  Although DuJun flirts around he knows his boundaries. He isn’t as crazy as KiKwang and JunHyung. Jang HyunSeung and Son DongWoon is the opposite of them.

            Just when everything is going well, Yoseob finds out that he is going to be in an arranged marriage. And she will be coming back to Korea as a transfer student from Paris!
