Foreword
I remember when I was younger I had to write an essay about what I wanted to be when I grew up. Like any other child, I went back and forth between a million different things. One day it was a doctor. The next it was a firefighter. That was right before my mother left me. Standing here now with my unborn child inside me, I wonder what he or she will say. Will they want to become an idol? An athlete? An author? But to me, it doesn't matter. They can be anything they want and I'll still love them with all my heart. And I'll make sure that unlike my own mother, I'll be right beside them, watching them reach their dream every step of the way.
