Foreword
Prologue
A light breeze blew as the sky turned a picturesque mixture of red, purple and orange with the setting of the sun. She crossed her arms across her chest and lightly rubbed her arms to keep herself from feeling cold. Normally, she reveled in such beautiful wonders. Sunrises and sunsets were something she had grown to appreciate. But, at that moment, she could barely appreciate it or anything for that matter.
There was a movement behind her and she turned around.
“Are you okay?” the visitor quietly inquired.
A smile was the only answer she could give.
“Come,” were the visitor’s next words. “He’s waiting for you.”
“Is he really?” she couldn’t help but question, turning her attention back to the window. The sky had gotten dark. It eerily reflected the lack of light in her life.
“You know he is. He’s always waiting for you.”
